Carole wrote: "Congrat!"Thanks, Carole...the producer also is looking at the YA novel by Alyssa Devine. No promises at this point, however.
Just signed audiobook contracts for the fifth book in my Det. Louis Martelli, NYPD, mystery/thriller series as well as for Books 2 and 3 in my Antarctic Murders Trilogy. Recording of Book 1 is just about finished, and it should be available in about two weeks.
Anna Faversham wrote: "Oh yes, Carole, such a special time. Happy new year to all celebrating."Yes, it is a special time, Anna...we pray from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur: “May you be written down and inscribed for a good year” in the Book of Life.
I always figured the tricky part was to avoid being inscribed in the chapter Death by Stoning.

She is tough on me, and ..."You raise a very good point...my wife, Susan, has been my editor for almost a decade. She can be ruthless! As a former president of the local mystery/book club (serving for ten years), she knows the genre well, and believe me when I tell you she cut me no slack. A good editor is the best "wingman" you can have.
Alexis wrote: "I think with rimance novels, one person usually writes the Male POV and the other person the female POV. I guess at least that way you’re sure that every “voice” is unique lol."Actually, that makes some sense.
You do see a lot of collaboration in children's books, where one person writes the text and another illustrates the book.
Carole wrote: "I did a book with Julie- It was the best experience ever! We wrote chapter by chapter, then went over it together on Google doc. We giggled the whole way through."Alyssa Devine and I have written eight flash fiction anthologies together, and it's been a hoot! (;>)
My new book, Flash Fiction for Animal Lovers, went "live" this morning (September 5, 2018), in Kindle and paperback editions:
Who doesn’t like a good animal story?! That’s why we created this special edition for our series on Flash Fiction. The contents of this seventh Flash Fiction anthology are drawn from the 438 stories found in Books 1 through 6, incl., of the Creative Ink, Flashy Fiction anthologies and are devoted entirely to our friends from the Animal Kingdom. Here you’ll find stories about loyal canines, mischievous felines, photobombing birds, and other creatures, large and small, that will make you smile, perhaps shed a tear, but always leave you thinking about this strange and awesome road we call “life.” The stories, each 250 words or fewer in length, are best compared to a handful of peanuts or M&M’s. Which is to say, they’re tiny, bite-sized morsels that won’t let you stop with one!

Good article on moving from CS to IngramSpark:https://www.indiesunlimited.com/2018/...
"It’s $49 to upload a file to IngramSpark, but they have frequent specials during which it’s free."
Ouch!

They'll end up killing the golden goose yet.
I saw that. For now, I intend to do nothing. I am releasing a new book on September 5th...will wait and see what happens. I have another book to be released on October 5th. I am in the "waiting and watching mode." For now, if it ain't broke, it ain't getting fixed.
Indies Unlimited has a terrific piece today on this topic:https://www.indiesunlimited.com/free-...
I had a lot of fun with the sound effects, setting off all of the explosions and bombs at the same time! Now, I just have to write a short story around the battle I created.
Carole...this is a great forum. Congratulations. I don't do Facebook, so it wasn't possible to post a comment. Perhaps, in the future, you might add other options for posting (e.g., Disqus). Regardless, well done!!!
