I've been going through hard times these last few weeks and haven't sold any books this month, but it was so nice to have my poem from my new book, "Soul Mates:Poems of Eternal Love" not only be read on Coffee With Uphill podcast this morning, but to be the first poem read. I'm annoyed because I have lost my job but I also have a new book that just came out last week around the same time I lost my job. I am unable to financially purchase a couple of books to try and sell. I was planning on trying to set up another book sale(even though my last one with my first book was terrible) but I have no books. I already have created a book signing kit(a bag of decor I use to set up a table) but no book. It seems like I can't get this book known and sold due to my situation. I managed to finally purchase 1 personal copy to show people but I'm really struggling with promoting this book. I couldn't even go out and celebrate(dinner at restaurant) like I planned on the day it was released. So much I had planned to do with this book but now unable too and I do not have a lot of support locally as an author. People just congratulate me or become shocked when they learn that I am an author but not many books sell locally. And I made a big leap this time around with my book. This book is not only on Amazon but it also made it onto Barnes and Nobles. That's a first for me and a huge accomplishment. Sorry for typing so much. Just needed to rant.
Congratulations to everyone on their success. I have one to share but not really sure it's legit. A woman claiming to be the president of a book club said she would have her members order both of my books(50 members). She was seeking information about myself and my publisher. I have had a small book club read my book but this sounds too good to be true and my publisher felt the same. We are waiting to see if she is who she says she is and will order the books. If this is legit then great for me but even if it's a lie then nothing lost.

Congratulations to everyone on your success big or small. I would like to share my great news. Two days ago my 2nd poetry book was released on Amazon as paperback and ebook. The book is called "Soul Mates:Poems of Eternal Love." Today it was made available on Barnes N' Nobles. I am excited because this is the first time a book of mine has been picked up by a bookstore. I am hoping it now sells well. So happy.

Congratulations to everyone with all their achievements big and small. I am an author and poet. Currently I am only publishing poetry. Earlier this year my very first book," A Mourner's Diary:Poems of Grief and Healing," under a publishing company was released in February. Now I am happy to say that this summer I sent in my 2nd book of poems and it was approved and looks like it will be published by the end of the year.I am so happy, excited, and nervous at the same time. I am still trying to get my first book selling more and I hope my 2nd book does well too. It is a lot different from my first one and my publisher and I have been working hard on getting it just right.
