Well I haven't been exclusive to Amazon for almost a year now. I'm not sure it's made a difference to me.

I've joined two things coming up that promote free books (I hate working for free) so my book will get listed with a tonne of others for a couple of weeks and it's a case of getting the link out on social media to draw attention to it. I'm trying instafreebie for a month 37 people have downloaded book 1 for free and I'll mailchimp them with the links to my second book. Personally I think people should be prepared to pay for books even if it's just .99 I will need to look into these .99 options and see if there are any for erotica.

Argh I wish I knew the answer. Is it when you're so broke you can't feed yourself? I don't know. I've only paid small amounts because that's all I can afford. I've got the second out. The first is now free. Can't help. Similar boat.

I got an email today. My release date is Friday 14th, the email said to have it finalised by 10th (today) I'm done anyway. And two people have ordered a copy. Yay :D

So I've seen that pre-orders appear on a different screen to books that are already live and I've found out that I've sold 2 copies of Nate and Day via Amazon.co.uk. And neither of them were me. That's cheered me up. It means two people thought my writing deserved a second look.

Regarding pre-orders, I've done the ebook pre-order, but I haven't hit publish on the KDP paperback yet. Is there a pre-order for that, or is it just ebooks?

I did. I've got until Wednesday to upload an update but I'm as done as I can be so I think I'll leave it. It goes live on Friday. Good luck.

Arc is something like advanced review copy or advanced reader copy. Something like that.

Apparently it's not unusual for an estate to take more than a year to settle. I would however like something actually positive to happen rather than just making do with yay I've written something else no-one will ever read.

That'd be nice. Could do with some money.

Speaking of which-further delay on my dad's estate. The solicitor resigned so someone else is taking over. I suspect that means more delay. Yay.

It annoys the hell out of me. How would they like to go to work for six months and not earn a penny.

Yeah that's the theory. In practise though I don't sell books. And I have had a number of people I know mention that surely it's enough to have them read for free. Er no.

I don't think I'll bother putting a book up for preorder again. I may just as well chuck it out for real and not sell any than stick it up for preorder and not sell any. I guess this is where you find out how serious people you know are when they say they can't wait to buy the second one.

I have 26 downloads on my instafreebie of Modifed. And bizarrely (huh I spelt that right!) someone has bought Modified at 99p. They clearly didn't get the message about the instafreebie. But I'll take the 29p.
