I have one thing in my mind to publish under my real name-semi horror, semi autobiographical. I could write horror in my real name. Pretty much the only reason why I use Amy J Hamilton is for erotica. It's pointless really, its not like I've hidden the genre from people who know me, even the ones who make noises like "ugh" when I tell them I've written another one.
I'd say go for it.

If anyone would like to categorise what I write, please go ahead because I clearly don't have a clue! SciFi/Erotica/Humour/Something (shrugs)

Can't hurt. My first has that instafreebie thing at the moment. So I'll stick with that. Then I can annoy those people via email with links to my second.

I had my first set to free on Smashwords during their last sale. Got 9 downloads. Just not the same as sales lol.

I only have one writing grrrr and that is it doesn't matter how good I am, and I am a good writer, I don't sell books. And when I say sell, I mean actually see royalties, I'm not talking about giving them away for free. People will take any amount of stuff they're not interested in if you offer it for free, take it home, think "What the hell did I pick that up for" and then bin it. It's the same with books. I've given this a lot of thought and I will never be one of these authors content to just have the kudos of publishing a book and have no-one buy it. It's just not the way I am.

It's not just books. On Amazon it can be a 1* for any product and if you look at why it's a 1* it can be for the most irrelevant reason.
I bought a book because it was 1*. Alas it had that rating for a reason...

Awesome Alex $5k? I sort of think I'd be lucky to reach $50 at the moment.
My grrr is that right now it feels like I'm expected to put in the same effort as everyone else but not get paid for it. I've also just had one of the worst business weeks for my main income that I've had in 16 years. In fact it's like it was 16 years ago. I've seen 4 people this week. (Down from 35 a week a few years ago) and I've paid hundreds of pound for stock that people have not bought because they've cancelled. Add that to the fact that I can't sell books and I'm pretty grrrr right now.

Thanks. I've done yours too. If I've missed anyone who'd like a like- shout.

I don't like to put pressure on myself for reasons of stress when I don't manage them. But, I have achieved things.
I put Nate and Day out for pre-order.
I created an Instafreebie for Modified and followed through those two things with social media posts.
I have a great new review of Modified on Amazon US.
I've not only signed up to write a short story for the Hallowerotica anthology, I've just written 1000 words of something based around two of my favourite characters who I haven't even published yet.
Eldon wrote: "Amy wrote: "Awesome thank you Ben."
You went with the humorous :D Looks great Amy!"Thanks. Yes in the end I couldn't help myself.

I'm very basic if and when I review. "I liked this book because..." is about as much as I can come up with.

Hope you're OK Alexis. And breathe...

Have liked yours. In case you're interested I'm here
https://www.facebook.com/ajhworld/ (I write erotica/SciFi)

(Oh the learning curve...)

There are absolutely no guarantees I've done this right. But on the off chance I have there's an offer Modified for free at that link #Sexy and #SciFi

Currently running through some ideas for promo blurbs to post. Really tired. It's late. Fingers produced this one so far:
Announcing the Sci-Fi/Erotica/Humour sequel quite literally no-one has been waiting for. Well OK, maybe those three people over there.
Meet Nate and Day (Lunar Medical Book 2) by Amy J Hamilton. They will be let loose on humankind from 14th July in various formats including ebook, paperback and Enceffian Telepathy especially for that weirdo reading over your shoulder right now.
Can the team get back to the planet in one piece? Will they find survivors and make it back to the LMED-1 moon base. Will Nate and Day be able to redress the… well… themselves, it is erotica.
Full of whatever it was that made Modified an enjoyable read, Nate and Day has a snappy title and a really good cover.
