To be honest, that would be a relief for me. I wouldn't want to go through something else with someone like that. And although none of my family have expressed an interest in anything I've written, I imagine family members are more likely to do the whole pat on the back, yes it's really good thing rather than tell any truths.

I've hidden my paperback behind a stack of paperwork... but I understand what you're saying lol

I've filled in one thanks Aislinn. That's one more than I had this morning!

Oh wow. Sounds like a handful! I was immensely grateful to have things pointed out before I published. It would have been so much worse to publish and then find out I'd included glaring errors. Especially things that I'd written and are perfectly clear in my head, but didn't come across well to someone other than me reading it. Surely having feedback on things like that is invaluable?

It's not easy that's for sure. I still think like other things it comes down to a percentage of luck on top of everything else.
Thank you very much for the links.

Only if you've got time Aislinn. I've spent hours looking, so I know how time consuming it is. It's knowing if they're any good, isn't it? I did a small thing before Christmas via Fiverr and OK it didn't cost much, but I didn't see any movement either. (Shouldn't have written niche!)

Aw I can't help of course, I can only commiserate. (Still haven't discovered a magical list for erotica) Although you have more reviews than me. Have you by any chance had a look at Fiverr to see if there's anyone on there that'll charge a tiny amount for posting you to various pages? (That's all I've got and I'm not saying it works, but it's cheap.)

Thanks, I appreciate it. I wish I had your confidence. I may be too niche. We'll see. I have yet to find the readers of erotica that lap up my brand of writing. Error, lapping not found where lapping expected.
I would have thought though, with some of my US friends lapping up all things British that you'd have plenty of sales over there.
My paperback arrived. Looks good. It is unfortunately spineless. But oh well. There are pages and they contain words.

Excellent. Glad you're not dead! Carry on...
Good grief that's a lot of sales. I can't imagine what it's like to have more than half a dozen people buy something I've written, well done!

Thanks. I have nothing to compare it to Alex to be honest. I don't know if 56 is a lot or not. I'm hoping to get some more interest when the two group promos I've committed to go live.
Even if 56 people download the book, that doesn't mean they'll get around to reading it. Even if they do read it, it doesn't mean they will tell anyone else about it or review it. And even if they read it, it doesn't mean they'll like it enough to spend a couple of quid on the second book. (shrugs)

My instafreebie list is up to 56 names. Meaning I can tell 56 people about 150 free books that are being listed for free from next week.
I sold a few copies of Nate and Day and when I say a few I mean 5. And one of them was for me. And I bought the paperback too. Cos I want to see what it looks like.

That sounds a bit grim, Carol.
Fear and cost are the main two reasons why I haven't paid an editor. I'm pretty much just left with cost as an issue now. I have more self-belief. I am not alone with cost being an issue. Editing though: I've always typed Amy and not amy. I'm not grammatically horrendous when I write, yes, there's always room for improvement. Can't comment on "minuet" and "minute". I got "bazaar" and "bizarre" wrong the other day and despite knowing it was wrong, couldn't figure out why until I was told. Must have been the one that slipped my "that can't be right" Google process.

Hi Mandy and Joyce, welcome.

Yes one of my issues is funds. I pay a cleaner because I couldn't do it myself. And I pay an Osteopath because there's no other treatment. I can't afford the osteopath as often as I should. At least a payment would help with that.

That's good. Our surgery did my ECG. They spend minutes wiring you up flip a switch for less than 30 seconds and then spend minutes unwiring you again. Then say that's the clearest ECG I've seen in a long time and that's the end of that.
Had my mobility assessment. Couldn't tell you how it went. I was asked a lot of questions and a very nice lady made a lot of notes. I shuffled my way up a corridor and back again to questions of is this your normal walking pace? What zombie? Pretty much during a flare up. She did ask why it was with everything I'd told her that I hadn't claimed benefits. I think I ought to look into the PiP. It would pay for my osteopath. Got to wait a week.

Thanks Alex and Prakash, appreciate it.

Thank you Aislinn.

You're welcome.
