201765 What's this like for a blurb?

Track, one of the station's best detectives has been benched for three months to adjust his attitude. A woman he recognises from somewhere fails to gain his help and later turns up dead at his front door. The Authority isn't interested. Faced with options of recreational or self help courses or running his own investigation he picks the latter. He's not happy and he's not into arts and crafts. He likes hobbling after the bad guy while waiting for the Authority to fix his knee. Track's investigation uncovers an insidious plot the Authority will stop at nothing to cover up.

201765 Hiya, I've submitted a join request too. Thanks.

201765 I will be checking the news later to see what's going on. I remember what was in comparison our breezy day in 1987. And that's the worst I've known. Although areas over here do completely flood from time to time. Nothing like what I've seen on the news recently.

201765 Lol. I don't think I'm allowed to restrain the kids in that way. Also got a degu, a lizard and a tortoise and some fish. It gets pretty busy round here.

And I wish I had no interest in food...

201765 Such limited energy at the moment I'm not above ready meals. I used to cook everything fresh and batch cook. That was before I had kids and a business and when I had energy. We use ready meals at the caravan too so I can have a break.

201765 I wouldn't either if I was on my own. I'd probably buy a ready meal!

201765 We rarely have them these days. And I feel sick now. Chicken always does that to me. Bleugh.

201765 Yes, even with the disabled parking today I did a lot of walking and I've cooked the family a roast. Quite shattered now. I've ticked so many non-writing boxes today, unfortunately they all meant I had to spend money...

201765 Thanks, I'll stick it on the list of things to do. I need more time. I'm out of energy for today.

Amy, I used the free word..."

I got completely confused looking into Wordpress. Does wordpress host the site for you?

That's also true. It's a major thing for me to submit anything for a competition. Carole and everyone here have done a lot to boost my confidence. No-one has read the story. But I'm fairly convinced it complies with my catchphrase of "it's not crap." I'm not expecting to win and that wasn't the point for entering.

201765 Thanks everyone. I have such a long way to go with where I want things to be, writing and otherwise. It's a slow process, but I'm getting there. I wish I was more patient.

201765 Well done Anita. They look great.

Alex, that's amazing. It's very clear where everything is. Was that free wordpress or the paid for one? I really need to sort mine out.

201765 Wow everyone's doing very well again. Congrats!

Once again I come in with a progress announcement. I have completed the short story I was writing for HallowErotica and submitted it for the anthology and short story competition.

(I also picked up my blue badge this week so I can now legally use the disabled parking spaces in car parks)

So maybe... The Redemption of Lost Souls? Idk. I'm terrible at titles."

Good point. Hadn't thought of that. Thank you. That's easily remedied. Si-Cross can be the authority that runs the space stations and this happens to be number 4, but the problem is across all of them. Therefore I can just drop the number 4 from the title.

I still don't like any of the titles though... I'm good at this-not.

201765 Ugh keeping track of things you said earlier. It's an issue that even the most successful writers have. I saw a glimpse of a Terry Pratchett documentary a while back. The Discworld series is over 40 books long (I've only read half). The note keeping was extensive as you can imagine for a series that long.

I also keep notes. I don't trust my memory any more. Even from the start of the book to the end. I just don't retain things like I used to.
