201765 New TV arrived today. It looks in one piece.

So I emailed Radish to see about featuring in their front page as they tweeted about wanting sci-fi stories and I've written Missing Remnants. I received a reply today pointing me at the newsletter every two weeks of how to apply to be featured. It's in subjects. They recently had, for instance a "back to school" heading. Fair enough. I thanked her and said as soon as I saw a heading I could fit a murder mystery sci-fi serial in, I'd apply. With any luck out of this world or something might be featured.

201765 Ugh. I can't comment. To date in the last 18 months I've sold one copy on iBooks. The rest (couple of dozen) were on Amazon and most of those went when it was free. I rank somewhere in the 2k level. Yay. (Note the sarcasm)

201765 Eva, really well done with your award. Congratulations.

Aislinn, be reassured that I can count on one hand the number of people who have bought my second book. You're still beating me.
(Although admittedly I have 18 supposedly reading it on Radish for free. Free, ugh)

What's Radish?

I haven't started anyone's book yet, but I do plan on getting around to it. Sounds like some good ones out there."

Radish Fiction is a serialised fiction app where books can be updated by authors a chapter a week and readers have the ability to read a bite-sized chunk at a time.

-The first three chapters are always free.
-Some books are entirely free.
-Others are set so the reader has the ability to pay to get to the next chapter rather than wait for it to be released for free the following week.
-The other setting is the first three chapters are free as normal but every subsequent chapter costs 3 Radish coins or about 32-42 cents or pence depending on how many coins you buy in one go.

201765 Congratulations Aislinn. I like working on a new series too.

201765 I'm amused by nipping something's butt... think I'll pass thanks.

201765 Ahhhh, so it does. I swear that information wasn't there the first time I looked. I'm owed a whopping 51c. I had it in mind that you couldn't get paid until you'd earned 20 something. Turns out 500 coins is $20 if those figures are correct.

201765 Voted

201765 Lol. It's a tenner payment for 500 coins earnt. I bet!

201765 Ah thanks, that's where the 12 came from, c rather than p. I just bought a job lot of coins (182) for £19.99 and it'll cost me 32p or so per chapter. At the rate I read I'll probably retire before I need any more.

I wonder how much authors get paid out of that. All I know is that we have to accrue 500 coins before they will pay out. Only another 488 to go lol
201765 I'm literally jumping in for a few minutes at a time in-between everything else.

201765 I thought it was rather nice. Although I did say you could get a chapter for as little as 12p and I now can't find that written online. Maybe it was 12c. In any case 30p ish doesn't break many banks.
201765 Currently reading

Alex R Carver's A Perfect Pose (pre-release)
Brit Lunden's Bulwark. (Radish Fiction)
R.L Jackson's Sunrise Tonight (Radish Fiction)

Get me reading three books at a time! All very enjoyable. Keep it up people.

Who else is on Radish?

201765 I sent my 593 strong mailing list news of Radish Fiction and Missing Remnants yesterday. I had a lovely email back from a reader thanking me and saying she had downloaded the app and would take a look at the books.

201765 Radish - Yes, app based serialised fiction. You release an episode at a time and the idea is to leave each chapter on a cliffhanger so the reader feels compelled to buy the next one. The first three chapters are always free. There's a small charge for each chapter after that unless you set it to be free.

So Amazon, we need a new TV, ordered it Sunday night, it was dispatched Monday for delivery today (12th). Nope, they delivered it to the wrong depot and are now asking that we don't contact Amazon to query it until Friday 21st to report it lost. I'll give them the 13th. It's a Prime delivery. You do not need two weeks to honour it. Raises eyebrows and stamps foot.

201765 Judy congrats to you too.

I'm off to make myself an award or a badge out of cardboard lol

201765 I'm sorry Carole has too many awards for me to keep track lol well done whether it's new or old. :)

RL glad you're ok. I've not seen as much news coverage as I'd expected. So I'm pretty clueless. Glad there's no major damage to your own places. Hope they can fix things quickly. Don't eat too many burgers lol
Sep 12, 2017 11:33AM

201765 Yay RL. I hope you're ok and didn't sustain any damage. What's it like over there?
Sep 12, 2017 11:06AM

201765 Glad you like it. I'm finding it's definitely a discipline. But I do like a cliffhanger and I intend to mercilessly fleece people given the chance. 6p. I want my 6p lol.

That review was brilliant btw.

201765 It's about the only thing I can control. Erotica was difficult to find places to promote. Radish is difficult to find places to promote. I've hit a couple of sites and they require numbers. I may have to buy some ISBNs. I need some non kindle book promotion.

I suspect I'll be buying into people's mailing lists and possibly blogs.
