I'm here if anyone would like to share:
https://princessofthelight.wordpress....Thanks.

Can’t remember if I said that was Cosmic rule number 3. Might have been 2. Anyway, nice one. May your day continue to be a pleasant one.

Hope you feel better soon Sam. It’s been going around here too. Nasty bug.

Keep it liveable. You're living there. Do enough to maintain it's worth and make sure it's not unsafe or going to fall down. There's also a lot to be said for not doing up a house to the extent you end up spending more on it than you can get back if and when you sell it.
For us I've had to put all plans on hold to get a new bathroom, as I'm worried I'm out of pocket about £10k getting our daughter through uni. And that's with the loans she'll be taking out to cover tuition and the percentage of maintenance she's entitled to.

I'm trying but some days it's tough, especially knowing that once all the stuff IN the house has been sorted, the house it..."When we bought this house I was a bit shocked at how it seemed to have not been maintained over the years. Leaky pipe in the downstairs loo. Leaky roof. Shoddy kitchen cupboards need replacing. Two busted drawers. Shoddy bathroom. No loft ladder and no boarding in the loft. Then I realised that houses have many things that need doing and it's not humanly possible to do everything. Either there aren't enough hours or there's just not enough money. We had the roof fixed. We had a TV aerial put on. I painted the kitchen cupboards-they're still broken inside. The pipe still leaks. My husband fixed the drawers in the kitchen this week. I've recently had the kids' bedrooms decorated and ours was done. The bathroom is still falling apart. I suspect the way it goes is that we'll do what we can with the money we have available and then move and let the next people despair at how little they think has been done until they realise how much money it requires.

Ugh, I hate house stuff. I have an added pile of paperwork from when Mum and Dad died. That doesn't sound like much, but that's on top of everything (not just papers) we've accumulated over twenty years. So much to do and so little energy. Just focus on what's necessary Alex.

She found the three faces for mine. Although she does do a thing where you pick something on depositfiles. There must be another one. I won't do the same thing. At the moment my station is a ship on Radish, but I'm only writing it for Carole and she doesn't mind lol.

Alex wrote: "Unfortunately the glasses were in neither place, Amy. I'm hoping they'll turn up when I start putting stuff back after the electricians are gone"Oh. Well that's not right. Glasses are always on your head when you're looking for them. They'll probably turn up when the electricians have finished. And cosmic rule number three is they will turn up in a place you KNOW you checked several times. Always. BTW how's your mum? If she's well enough get her to look for them. Nothing is lost until Mum can't find it. Rule 4.

CeDany, I know, I know. Some US authors were shocked at my 99p for an 86k word book. (I've upped it now.) Their books were several dollars for 20k words and they expected to sell them at that price. In the UK, you're lucky if people pay for ebooks. Other people won't download for free because they then expect it to be rubbish. I have no answers. But I know what you mean.
Alex you left your glasses on your head. Or in the fridge. One of the two. Cosmic law number one. Oh and yep any job done on the house will always cost more than was originally "quoted". Our roof doubled in price. Cosmic law number two.
I would just like to moan that my daughter's orthotic insoles (we have dodgy skeletons-hereditary thing) do not fit inside any shoes suitable for school. I was hoping to replace the boots she was wearing because she's got a large blister on her instep after wearing the insoles for weeks. I couldn't figure out why. Nothing fitted. And the insoles take up virtually all of the height of the shoe leaving no room for her feet. I hate shopping.

Also, I hope she can find another space station, I need one of them for Remnants.

I'll catch up with them later. I appreciate a damn good rant.

I see I’m way behind... I turn my back for a weekend... Alex that’s a great cover. Glad she’s still producing good work. I’ll need a couple soon.

I see what you mean. No I don’t think one person should be allowed to rate a book twice on goodreads.

By the time I get around to proper promotion I’ll be on my third and fourth books. They’ll be a sci-fi murder mystery and a sci-fi paranormal. They’ll be closely released because I’m writing them simultaneously. That should surely help more than just having two books that are erotic and therefore have limited promo avenues.

I went wide but I wasn’t getting much anyway. Mainly my colleagues who are self employed and understand the importance of supporting small businesses were curious. But once I’d exhausted them that was the end of selling books. I didn’t have any money for promotion last year. This year I was just starting to contemplate it. Although I have to admit I never expect it to work...

That’s a worry. If you can’t pay for promotion because Amazon will sanction you, what are you supposed to do?

I wish. I’m just clumsy and forgetful.

Hi Anya, welcome. Nah, you just ask things. Doesn’t matter what it is. We’re not heavy on rules. Which is just as well as I’d have broke all of them.
