201765 So do I, Alex.

Oh yes, I remember now what they said - it was 'a masterpiece'.

I do, of course, wholeheartedly agree with them :o)
201765 I'm with you both on that. With my first book, I tried free and I had about 10,000 downloads (those were the days) but what good did it do me? Very little follow on. And 10,000 people fewer to market my book to. I live and I learn - sometimes.
201765 I'd agree that ENT is one of my preferred advertisers. They are second only to BookBub in my opinion. Both are not easy to get accepted for.

Three which are easier to be accepted for are:

eBookStage $10 which is very easy to submit to, after the first time as it stores your info. The cost to sales percentage was 111% (which means I didn't lose much money!)

eBookSoda $15 was 214% (in other words, I sold about 7) Drawback- You need 8 reviews.

eBookHounds $20 and 250% - (but there are cheaper prices for different genres)

After that you don't wanna know. Trust me - it hurts.

201765 I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the best thread but it certainly has the Grrrr!!!! factor.

In my closely guarded email address I received an email from
booksauthors656 at gmail. Sounded good (of course). They think I might be the next great discovery (or words to that effect) and would I please contact them. Oh, no, no, no.

So I Googled booksauthors656 and it came up with a few Cyrillic letters so I asked for it to be translated (very silly me). Russian. It took me directly to a website where books were nicely displayed and decent titles (I think - I didn't stay long to find out). Then I noticed dear old Google alerting me to the fact that this had arrived on my screen through an unsecured connection.

I've given my laptop a quick scan and all is OK but if it's a sophisticated virus, it may have missed it.

If I had time to let every group know. I would. This is my only one so far.

201765 Wow! Yep, that looks so good!

201765 Congratulations and hope it goes well for you.

Alex, the link from GR to the UK Amazon site isn't working for me.

201765 Oh shriek! My mind filled with words like 'Wow' and 'Well done Ruth'. Then...

Definitely a good one.

201765 Welcome to you both, Ted and Thomas. Yes, Amy, I've just had to go and look up transhumanism!
Thank you! (106 new)

201765 We all need a break occasionally - it's sort of built-in!

201765 It was YOU! If only I'd known, I would have taken a photo for your book on how to sell...

That's the idea! It will seek out the right type of reader for your book.

The others are so good too.

201765 I'm fascinated by the way things sometimes work out. Whoever that petty person was who voted the other reviewers down, has made me see that it is worth voting good reviewers up. So that petty person has more competition for the top spot all because he/she voted some down.

Karma - or something like that.

201765 It's a way of thanking reviewers that you don't know. There's quite a few and I wonder who they could possibly be. So I have to just 'thank' them.
Mar 28, 2017 12:15PM

201765 I only learnt about this reviewer ranking when, late one night, someone voted all my reviews down - in a flash. It just so happened that I was checking everything before shutting down for the night. Whatever for? Then someone wised me up about people like that and she went and voted up all those reviewers who'd been hit.

And now I always press the 'helpful' button. Except if I'd rather not have received the review!

201765 Ah... I really must go and get fed and watered.

I've just fallen in: it's Groovy's book you're asking about, Amy. Sorry. I'll go away...

Amy, sigh, Dr Syn is that gorgeous, shiny little engine, isn't it? Oh happy days.

I wish I'd thought to encourage others to like her really good review of one of my books. I didn't know it mattered, plus I don't know ..."

Oh drat! Yes, yes it's the helpful button. I'm not very 'helpful' am I? Sigh. I need feeding.

Amy - this will take you there.

Thanks to both of you for buying the book. I sell so very few in the UK. And my reviews in the US are not so good, so Carole has made such a difference and my sales chart in the UK will have a bump on it at last. xxxxx to you all.

P.S. Hope you enjoy it.

Shriek! That's where we used to holiday with our children! Marlie Farm?

I grew up with those stories and then completely forgot they existed until I heard them on the radio. How can anyone forget Doctor Syn! Do you go on the little railway?

201765 I was stunned by the review and then she went and stunned me again when I saw how high up the rankings she is.
Mar 28, 2017 11:02AM

201765 I've reread Carole's review :o) on Amazon.com and I noticed that she is a high-ranking reviewer.

If anyone would like to visit the review and if you like it, you could tick the helpful box and she'll rise further. I hope we can thank her in this tiny fashion for all her Mod work.

Either go to my GR page or straight to:

I really hope I'm not breaking any rules by doing this. I hope even more that if I am, you'll get there before this post disappears!
