Well some of my books are on 'to read' lists that run above 9,000. Assuming the people read as many as 5 books a week, they'll have to be the longest lived people in history to get to mine.
So, Anita, I've got to the stage where I don't even look at 'to reads' now. It's no longer something to get excited about!

Yes, it tells a tale.

I liked the grrr about the reviewer who thought your baddie wasn't bad enough. I had one GR reviewer who thought the baddie was the one she liked best. It sounded like she fancied him. Each to their own, I suppose. I'd written him to be a bit of a wally, lazy, etc. It left me feeling, not quite grrr but mystified. Needless to say I got a low star review for it.

Journey with Lucy into a dark heart. She has survived hard times but by1825 she is finally secure and happy. Her new American friend admires Lieutenant Karl Thorsen and she has hopes for their happiness too. Into her life comes a charming, talented artist. Oblivious of all the signs of impending tragedy, Lucy enjoys her seemingly rosy life while all around her are beginning to feel something isn’t quite right. She ignores her husband’s cautions and pays a high price. Can she escape without causing unimaginable pain to her family?

Don't worry if at first your sequel doesn't seem to catch on. Mine didn't but for some odd reason, it is now selling much better, and I can see that some people appear to be buying both books at the same time.

Perhaps it's what Amazon set out to achieve?
That's me being cheeky really. I wonder if they are being pushed by the big publishers and they see the money for advertising etc is with the big publishers.

Mmmmm cave..."
Let's make sure we take the knowledge of how to make a fire and a wheel with us.

I wonder/worry about the world our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren (even if I haven't got all of those yet!) will live in. I suppose they will adapt.

Hah! That's what my character said/felt in my time travel book. She went back in time - try it Alex. Apparently it's easy...
And, Amy, because she didn't have to work, she had time to write.
Go on, hold hands and toddle off to the cave together.

Authors may well return to trying to get published by the traditional publishing route. My mind goes on to all the ramifications of that!
Does anyone feel like they've been lured into a way of life and then had the rug pulled from under their feet? Perhaps not yet...

I've just remembered this little gem. It's gone downhill a lot lately but you can have a banner ad for a week for about £8.

I suggest we all contact Amazon UK and ask them to accept ads from Indies. I have.

I wish all you very special people (and I mean that) a merry Christmas filled with joy, love and a spot of peace. And for 2018? Oak trees.
With thanks for being such a great bunch.
