I'm sure that, like everything else, it takes 24-48 hours to process. Be patient, grasshopper. People have done it, but it will take time for the changes to appear.

Just copy the link, go to your facebook page, and post the link that way. And if the old cover still comes up, Facebook lets you manually upload a different image.

Justin wrote: "So pretty much any sentence that comes out for a teenage girls mouth lol."This is my problem - my book is first person, spoken by a teenage girl. So I, like, basically HAVE to use them, obviously. But honestly I am aware of them and I use them consciously and make sure that I am doing it to improve her voice and not out of habit.

The root "andr" in "android" is greek for man, so "android" means a man-droid. They are man-like by definition. So a non-humanlike robot cannot be an android. Your reader is wrong.

I would avoid robot altogether - you have androids and mechs.
I've got a bunch of almost-finished ones in the works as bonus content for my readers -stories featuring my main characters. I need to check their lengths though.

YA (older teens - warning, strong language) or Paranormal RomanceTitle: Chemistry

How many boys could literally offer you their heart?
"...funny and irreverent." (Foreword Reviews)
"...awesomely sarcastic and completely witty." (YA Books Central)
Stella Blunt's world is ending. Her parents have dragged her across the country, and she has to start over in a new school. This is a big problem, because she doesn't make friends easily: she's large, she's loud, and she doesn't suffer fools gladly.
Within days, Stella has alienated half the school. Only one person seems to like her: Howard Mullins, the shy geek in her Chemistry class. He's the biggest loser in school, but he's a great listener, he's smart at science, and he loves her for her mind. Then again, he drinks brains from a thermos and walks with a lurch.
Now undead hordes are showing up at her door, and Howard Mullins might be to blame. Can Stella manage the bullies, figure out her complicated love life, and handle a chainsaw?
Chemistry is an uproarious zombie romantic comedy with a surprising amount of heart, intended for older teen and new adult readers. If you liked Warm Bodies and Sean of the Dead, you'll adore this girl-powered, irreverent twist on Twilight from C.L. Lynch, who thinks zombies and big girls deserve love, too.

But this is my first time doing instafreebie and I think I want to stick to the tried and true formula this time...

March 8th is International Women's Day, and I'd like to host a group multi-genre giveaway of books that are about "nasty women". Your protagonist might be a nasty woman if any one of the following things are true:
- She is dominant or aggressive
- She acts outside of stereotypical gender norms (works in a male dominated field, saves the guy in the story, etc)
- She solves her own problems without anyone's help
- She has a personality which is neither adorable nor winsome
- She swears a lot
- She gets stuff done
If any one or more of the above fit your character, and she doesn't have to change those things by the end of the book, then I want to feature your book! Bonus points if your character is a PoC, overweight, disabled, or LGBTQ.
Your book must be available for free for the week of March 8-15th, and obviously you must agree to share and promote the giveaway on your own channels. Most participants will be free through instafreebie but it's okay if you want to make your book available another way (KDP free 5 days I'll accept, or book funnel or some other way of claiming free copies).
To participate, please email me:
author AT CLLynch DOT com.
Include the following information:
- Your book name
- Your author name
- Link to your website
- Brief book description (just a few sentences please)
- Why is your protagonist a nasty woman? Sell her to my audience!
- And, of course, I'll need a link to the place where people can claim the book.
I'm running an Instafreebie giveaway if anyone wants to check out my foul mouthed, zombie-comedy twist on Twilight. Claim a copy here:

Paperbacks are nice to have - it feels good to hold your book in your hands - but don't do much for sales. So no rush.
Pretty much every successful self pub author agrees that it is worth investing money in a professional book designer and professional editing. People really do judge a book by its cover. And since Romance/Erotica readers especially are known for gobbling books up, it's important that your cover look familiar to them - like the kind of book they enjoy reading. I strongly recommend it. Do what I did and tell friends and family that what you want for your birthday/Christmas/Valentine's/whatever is money to put toward a book cover/editing.

Netgalley worked great for me. I rented three months through Broad Universe for $90 and got like 20 reviews. And the great thing is that many of those reviewers had followers who then got, read, and reviewed the book on the reviewers' recommendation, and so I got more and more reviews not to mention some sales.

Something else that many authors swear by is giving your book away enmasse via something like Instafreebie, and then put a call to action in the back of your book asking people to review it. Also, with instafreebie you get people's email addresses so you can email them and remind them to review your book.
I haven't used Instafreebie yet but I plan to.
