Perhaps it's my sci-fi leanings here, but how is any of this AI? Artificial intelligence implies the ability of a system to think on its own. All I see here are algorithms created by people scraping data from the internet.Start to worry when the algorithm creates itself.

Hello Sam,
The best advice you've been given so far is to just start writing. I write all my scenes in their own Word file and combine later, just as an example. The formatting should be no concern at this point. If using Word though, do make sure you make use of their Styles - it will make you life much easier later on!!
As for templates, when you get that far, bear in mind there is a WORLD of difference between a paperback format and a ebook format. I would NOT suggest using the same source file.
When the time comes, if you'd rather not deal with the formatting alone, let me know and I would be happy to format both for you at no charge :) Through my trials in self-publishing, formatting has become something of a hobby for me.

Well that sucks ☹

Just wondering Alex, why are you publishing to Amazon through D2D? Are you aware D2D will be taking a percentage of your sales from Amazon? In addition to Amazon's cut?
Seems like it makes more sense to publish to Amazon direct.

Anna Faversham wrote: "Oh. Thanks, Eldon. I'll try Kobo. No idea what I'm doing. Unless someone can tell me that Apple is easier?"I used draft2digital to publish my latest wide. They take a cut of the profits, but it's super easy :)

Hi Anna! To make it free on Amazon you need to post it as free on another website (Kobo, Apple, etc.) and then send an email to KDP support asking them to price match. Voila - permafree :)

New joints? Sounds painful :( Hope you have a speedy recovery.
In advance of next month's release of my new novel, I'd like to recruit ARC readers within this group.I'll be providing free copies of Singularity through BookFunnel at the following page: BookHip.com/BVNLZB
Obviously, it would be awesome if interested readers could leave an honest review, but of course, there is no obligation to do so.
Enjoy the read :)
