I can vouch for Catherine's work. She's been fantastic so far with my latest manuscript!!

You'll know it when you see it ;) Saw one today in a promo email for a cozy mystery *shaking head*
201765 I'm starting to think the dumbest thing I ever did was using Createspace cover templates for my books. I keep seeing the bones of my cover on other people's books! Argh! Original covers from now on :D

I might just take you up on that Ted - although located as I am in Canada I might lose my profit on the exchange and taxes lol.

Just researched the credit freeze a bit more too and it's not allowed in Canada :( What a rip! Seriously.

Sorry this happened to you.

First off, it's called Book 2... a major hint that it's part of a series! No manipulation going on here in my opinion!

Hi Ted, I always considered hard covers to be a vanity project of sorts. It's nice to see your work bound in hard cover but as you say the investment makes turning a profit seem unlikely. But hey... you never know right ;)
201765 Congrats Ted!!

Maybe a stupid question but... what is the NABE?

Exactly what I thought Amy. And it fits the story. If they don't like it fine...but that's hardly manipulative.

Taken on Amazon.com

Thanks Carole. I just don't understand reviewers some times.

201765 Amy wrote: "How are you supposed to have manipulated them?"

The book has a cliffhanger ending. They didn't like that and accused me of manipulating them into buying the next book.

I used the vote down feature this morning for the first time ever. I don't mind negative reviews, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when a reviewer accuses you of manipulating them into buying the next book I take offence.

How does Amazon acknowledge your votes?
Sep 06, 2017 05:14AM

201765 Any authors out there use the vote down feature on Amazon for reviews they feel are unfair?
