But seriously, I think self publishing is indeed dead for those just getting started. I have a feeling it’s alive and kicking for those who have managed to cultivate a loyal fan base.

I basically just make you a banner/header for Facebook with promotional text on it.
I’m making one for Alex today, and then I will be on a long flight and will have time to make a few more. I don’t charge anything because it’s just a hobby.
These are the ones I made for D.J. Cooper.

But: I’ll only make banners for 7 people, so first come first serve! :)

Wild good, if you can make it good, tbh.
The heart eating thing is actually not that crazy. I remember an episode of Charmed where one the girls turned into a Wendigo and had to eat hearts to survive... so, yeah, it’s been done. (Which, of course, doesn’t mean you can’t also do it and put your own spin on it.)

I have like 5 books in Work in Progress status, so I’m not one to talk, but I say.. finish it. You can always fix in the end or use parts of it for another book.

I’m younger than 35. :)
Honestly, the plot is wild. But good writing can save almost any plot, in my opinion. I’d label it YA Fantasy

Okay, let me go read your plot now,.

I've got two home pages... why?"
I suspected it was an Alexis job, it has her style, but didn't w..."
He. I have a style, he.

You need to choose the Category of posts that appear on your homepage in settings, Amy: for example, you can name the category HOME and then you can amend the reading/writing section in the settings so that all the posts you save under HOME will appear on the HOME page.
And then you have to do the same, but then for a Blog Category that will then be accessed via the Blog link.

A name can give readers a preconceived idea when a name is used to hint to ethnicity/nationality, I would guess.
Otherwise, not really, no.

I've never been featured on it.
I've never even visited it.
:)"
That says so little, yet I find it really intriguing!"
Thank you !!

But everyone Googles these days instead of just typing the address directly in the bar, so you’re just as easily found if you have a blog or if you have a personal domain, right?
You can also link to your Blog via Goodsreads and on the final page of your book, making a personal website not really a necessity these days. In my opinion, of course.

I am already paying £115 a year for 1&1 to host my domain name an..."
Oofff, I wouldn’t get a new contract with them because that price is outrageous.
You get a domain, 1000 e-mail addresses and one-click Wordpress installation for £ 48 pounds per year with Strato.
Can you give your me your website address?
Why not create a free wordpress blog for D.J. Cooper. You can make it look expensive as shit without going through a lot of trouble.

2. In my experience; nope.
3. I like hosts that basically include wordpress setup so, Strato, Hostgator and Bluehost. I HATE GoDadddy.

Thanks! She doesn’t have any experience with book marketing but I trust her, and it’s a relief to have someone to share the burden with in.
Have you joined groups on Facebook?

One of my friends just volunteered to do all the marketing aspects of it for me. (She has a marketing degree.)
So I’m basically in 7th heaven right now.
And feeling really lucky!!

If anyone wants promo material for facebook DM me. I don’t charge and I don’t require credit because it’s just a hobby.

Have you been posting about it in reader groups here on goodreads as well?
