Whew, 27 is close. :D
Are you guys ready!?

I'll get back to you as soon as I can, :)
J (J, Saman), did you edit the banner? I want to add it our promo page but I remember you were going to edit it.

But, for me, I'm happy to take some risks and invest some money into this writing thing, because I want it to be successful."
I agree. And it's a question of trial and error really.

I was wondering, has anyone had any success with Facebook ads recently?

WE ARE UPLOADING ALL PROMO MATERIAL TO THE PAGE BELOW. Dm if you've made banners you'd like me to add and pick and choose which one you'll be using to promote. More will be added periodically today.

Yeah at $ 2.99, Amazon pays out 70% which is $ 2.093.
Streetlib wants to give the author $ 1.20?

I don't get it though.
On their website it says that an authors makes $ 1.20 when a book is priced at 2.99. That is less than 70%. And even less than 60% if we assume Streetlib takes 10% off the author's sales or 10% off royalty.

The Bublish list of ten things and all the analysis involved were a revelat..."
Can you give us a brief summary or link me to something? I think I missed that.

You would be working closely with Kay Macleod on the social media front. She is busy with Facebook and you'd be busy with Twitter. We need a presence there.
A blogger asked about it and I was like "Oh shit!"
Send me what you would like me to publish whenever you're ready. Just send me appropriate pictures, and any relevant information such as prices, the book festival's theme, and any day deals. Do you have any social media accounts you would like me to direct to as well? Eg/. @naviagtingindieworld ?
Thank you for getting back to me! Best of luck preparing for it!
Regards,
Crystal
DM me if you're interested in being our Tweeter. We don't pay anything but it's fun I promise and we understand that we're all busy indies just donating a bit of time so we're not very demanding.

Hi, I'd be happy to do something on my blog...which goes out to other sites...but I also suggest that you have somebody join my group at Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/groups/Revie... You could have various authors post that their book is going to be at the festival... My group has just under 15000 members...
Feel free to send me your materials by email...Do you have any date for posting?
Best, Glenda
I joined but I would love if more of us joined as well so that we can get familiar with the group and get ready to post about the event. Let me know if you're interested in a bit of social networking. :)

Well, it's pretty easy to sum up.
I made the website thinking both as a reader and as an author and with the help of Kay and Erin and their ideas and everyone else who contrbuted in some way made it what it is now. Frankly, in a very short time. We just thought of something and decided to do it!!! (Just do it, shows nike shoes, throws up peace sign.)
Anyways.
We're hosting a collaborative marketing effort on the 27/28/29 of March.
We're tying it to an amazing giveaway + free anthology book in order to attract visitors.
I made the website easy to navigative and nice looking in order to make it easy and pleasant for people to browse and find books. (By splitting it up per genre, adding author pages since as a reader I always like to find out more about the authors who wrote the books.)
Since we were already paying to host the website, I decided to not let that money go to waste and to turn the domain NavigatingIndieworld.com into a place to talk about resources, share ideas and tips FOR INDIES BY INDIES.
It's free. There's no ads. We don't make any money. We basically operate thanks to sponsors. I donate my time, my skills and whatever information that I have. I browse the net for free pictures to use. Others donate their time and ideas too. Bloggers donate ad space in exchange for banners during the event. Carole donated giveaway money because she really wants this event to do well. Others donate articles, short stories etc etc. And come March 27 we are all going to promote like crazy!
Becky is talking about Pronoun a website that helps you with publishing that she found out about thanks to a very informative article written by Nicole. It's posted on NavigatingIndieworld.com right now. (P.S. if you're a romance author find Nicole Locker on Facebook and join her group. I haven't had time to particpate yet but she has great ideas.)
Anyways just visit navigatingindieworld!

It's easy to "navigate".
Get it?
And write us something!!
(Please note that that everyone is really busy right now so you might not get a reaction on your article immediately, but that myself or Erin will get around to it.)

Hi Erica. Good point. In addition to Twitter I will add Facebook and an "I'm sorry - I don't have social media" unlock buttons.

For example: I hear blog tours aren't as effective as they were in tbe past. Or did I hear wrong?

Thanks P.D.R!

Cool GroOoOvy.

Hi Angel. Yes I did see it, I was planning to switch it to 0.99 on the 28 since it will be 2.99 on the 27th but I can change it now and state something like: "0.99 on the 28/29", if you want.
And you can e-mail the banner to me and I can upload it via the website.

Brit is amazing!

Oh ok Groovy. Do you want me to leave the regular prices up until the event?
