lol I'm nervous when I do it too Justin. You'd swear I was an international assassin trying to stash them in secret, but I figure whether someone finds it and uses it or throws it out, they will at least see it and maybe decide to check it out. I'm like a week away from stashing a book at Barnes and noble lol. If I can only get someone to drop me from the ceiling suspended above the romance section....
And we reached over 20 thousand people with the facebook ad as well. Of course that many didn't click but they saw it. They may come back later to purchase at another time, you never know. We have to keep our heads up and continue to pound the pavement. We're beasts, we got this.
I've seen tons of authors requiring that you have had to review their work in the past to get an ARC of the next book in the series. And these are authors selling millions of books so idk
What you could do is put out a request on social media for the people who read your first books. Then ask if they are interested in an ARC but they have to had read AND reviewed your prior work. If you get any takers, then you require them to read and post a review on AMAZON within three days of release. If this is your very first book you can give the same stipulation but I would require Amazon profile links to see if they give reviews, the types etc before handing over an ARC.
Wow those are crazy. It's the same in any entertainment business in my opinion. You don't pay for anything upfront. Period. The ones with the power and control pay and that's because they will be making money off you regardless.
Same here. It may take a while for me to read and review but I will. I'm still working my way through the physical books I have then all the ones on kindle lol
Thanks for all the sharing guys. US crew, time to kick it up as our European buddies are kicking butt! Share on twitter and Facebook guys!
