My favorite part is the trading - certified to trade equities, bonds, options - and watching the dynamics of the markets. Everything I read about, whether politics, culture, even the weather, somehow affects the markets and, therefore, my job. Fascinating, maybe not my ultimate passion, but enjoying it so far.

Right now, polls are open the first week of the month. If you click into "comments and details" for a particular poll, you can see when it is slotted to close and check back if you are interested in changing your vote. I also try to send out reminders to those who haven't yet voted on the last or second to last day of polls.
Hope that helps!

“She had never dreamed there could be so much pain in a life when there was nothing physically wrong.”
“He would write it because the Overlook had enchanted him-could any other explanation be so simple or so true? He would write it for the reason he felt that all great literature, fiction and nonfiction, was written: truth comes out, in the end it always comes out. He would write it because he felt he had to.”
“The whole place was empty. But it wasn't really empty. Because here in the Overlook things just went on and on. Here in the Overlook all times were one.” creepyyyyyy

Everyone - see the new for fun folder! Started a few threads to get us going, let me know here what else you'd like to add!
Also started Victoria's suggested sentence-by-sentence story game, see discussionUn Cadavre Exquis - May 2017. figured we could reset it every month? What does everyone think?

How it works: Write one sentence to add to the story. That's it!
Rules: only ONE sentence please. No limits to your replies, but try to only write one sentence in a row at a time.
Try to ONLY READ THE COMMENT DIRECTLY PRIOR TO YOURS. Will make for a more fun read at the end.
Will close at the end of the quarter and we'll start a new one =)
To start us off...
Eleven blocks was a long way to run, but there was so much traffic and time was running out.
