With everything I am? This this is the one that’s similar to what you’re looking for. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

There’s one where the first book is about a book resentful husband (rich) having to deal with the wife he’s just agreed to divorce because she was cheating on him... and the ‘wife’ is a returned soul like you said, and you of course they fall in love after they unpick all the horrible that the ‘dead-wife’ left behind. I can’t remember much about the story other than that. Think the ‘dead-wife’ was cheating on the husband, but turned out the OM was a psycho blackmailing her to be ‘as bad as she ended up being’. Oh, she was blackmailed into stealing from husbands bff, and the ‘new-wife’ was left on the hook. The bit that stuck in my head was the ‘wife’ was so deserving of a new go and so was the husband after all the ‘dead-wife’ put him through... and then book 2 was the horrible ‘dead-wife’ getting a second chance! She ended up in a shotgun marriage because she was newly pregnant, so had to deal with being poor, pregnant and with a guy who hated the soul she just replaced.
If it sounds familiar, I can look for it.

Does Nalini Singh count as PRN? Maybe she’s just UF? But Archangels Enigma is exactly that ‘more animal than human’ that you are looking for. Naasir is awesome. It is book 8 in the series tho, and they are all worth reading imo.

I’ve finally figured something out that helps me. (And I hope I’m not repeating myself by posting this again 🤪)A while ago, the Mods were kind enough to send me two links, repeatedly, until I worked out a way to keep them that works for me.
The two links automatically take me into GR’s, and one shows me all the threads I’ve started. The other shows me all the threads I’ve commented on.
I kept losing them until I opened a new ‘GR’s Note’ on my phone, and pinned it to the top of the page, so it’s always right there with both links ready to go.
The one thing that’s kept being a problem for me is when I see someone else’s thread and later find a book that might match it. I haven’t always commented on their thread, or sometimes it doesn’t stand out in all my comments, so have no way to find it.
Now, if I’m sure I either want to follow a thread or think I’ve seen the book they are looking for somewhere, but can’t find it now, I go to the bottom of their thread, hit the ‘copy topic url’ and then add it to my GR’s note with a quick description that makes sense to me.
Also, for the threads I haven’t done this with and have now found what I think is the book they are looking for, but can’t find their thread, I list the book in this note, so that if I ever see it pop up again, I won’t be trying to remember that book I thought of months ago.
3013: series... warning, this one is erotic romance, and the books are all short and not slow burn... but if you can read around the sex, the characters, world & stories are great. The sex isn’t bad or anything, just full on.

I may have this timing wrong (it’s been a whole since I read it), but maybe the Helen Foster series? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Forgot the link. This is Renegade, bk2. I think this is the “poorer part of the world/vigilante”. There is another one with a similar h later in the series, but she’s a medic, rather than vigilante. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Search “3013:” and have a look thru those. There are different authors on each book (3 in total, but only two still writing I think. There’s action on earth, spaceship, space stations & alien planets. Centuries ago, insect aliens attacked earth to plunder its resources. Other aliens came to help earth and now, a couple of centuries after the war ended, humans and aliens are matched up through out the series (some human/human too). Most of the books are ménage/polyandry.
The insects released a virus that made most females infertile. Martial law took over and girls were tested for fertility at ten and tattooed with Scrolls or (degrading) Stars. The fertile Scrolls were protected, but have no choice in which Elite pair claim them when they come of age, the Stars are ignored, abused and second class citizens. The guys were tested too and either Elite who are required to pair up and earn the right to claim a Scroll... and generally H’s in the books, or second class... and usually rebels, but there’s not much on them.
It is erotic romance I think. The stories, the world and the characters are AWESOME, but I really wish they’d rewrite it focus on that rather than the sex.

I can’t remember the name, but if it sounds familiar, I will keep it on my watch list. The one I’m thinking of might have had the guy temp moving to a town to rehab with the PT at her/her family ice rink, as she’s one of the best. Maybe something about training at 4am so she could fit him in. The team owners(?) daughter has been obsessed with him for ages, and is used to always getting what she wants (not a huge obsession/stalker pet of the story), and she shows up and I think the h comes to the H’s house and finds the stalker girl there in only his shirt.

The Apple Orchard. Very long shot, but I’m pretty sure there is a flashback to the kids in one of the ww’s, skating on an ice lake and sneakily setting a bomb in a drain pipe to ammunition’s or something of the like.
