Congrats to everyone who participated in the Read 100 Books in 2016 challenge. Whether you made 100 books or didn't (like me, who only reached 80), you had a better year for all that reading, right? :DIf you did indeed cross the 100 books mark, then the fun continues. Every single person who read 100 books will receive their choice of my e-books. You are also eligible to enter a drawing to win a signed paperback from one of 18 fantastic authors I've lined up.
Here's what you need to do
Did you read 100 books and log them here on Goodreads this year?
Step 1. Tell us in the comments! Let's celebrate.
Step 2. Claim your pick of any of my e-books. Go here to choose which book you'd like, then email me with the title and your preferred format (mobi, epub, or--on some options--pdf).
Step 3. You also qualify to enter the Rafflecopter drawing found here. The drawing features books from 18 top novelists:

Rick wrote: "It was nice to see that Katie didn't make her 100 either this year."It was an off year. :p
BTW, I've posted my favorite reads of the year here: https://www.helpingwritersbecomeautho...
Joanne wrote: "Thanks, but I feel like a winner without the drawing. Best. Challenge. Ever."Yay! I'm so glad you've enjoyed it. :)
After the first of the year, I'll open a thread and have everyone who has reached 100 books report. Each winner will receive their choice of my e-books, and you can enter a drawing to win further prizes.
We're almost to the end of the year! How is everyone doing on the challenge? I have to admit (with some irony) that this is going to be the first year in recent memory I don't crack 100. Whoops. But I know most of you have done amazingly!Don't forget there will be some awesome prizes in January for those of you crack 100! There's still time for that final push.
You know, it's ironic. The year I head up a "Read 100 Books in a Year" challenge is probably going to be the first year in recent history that I *don't* read 100 books. :p Life happened, and I'm only up to about 60 right now.
Natasha wrote: "Just for clarification: would volumes of manga count? As I've read a couple recently."Yes, anything that is counted a single book in the Goodreads system.
I'm behind too actually--7 books according to Goodreads. But I just bought a bunch of books, so that's giving me incentive (read: pressure) to read more steadily. :p
@Lucy: Congrats! :D Now, you'll just have to wait for the rest of us a slowpokes. Prizes parties in December.
You go, Joanne! And, no, no need to do anything at this point. We'll have our wrap-up prize party at the end of the year.
Will you be doing much reading outside now that the weather is getting nicer? My answer: Definitely! I always dry to take my books outside whenever I get the chance.
Do ever listen to audiobooks? Why or why not?My answer: Personally, I've never gotten to where I like being read to--especially if the book is fiction. Plus, these days, I don't do much work that leaves my brain free enough to listen to something in the background. Which is to say, I hardly ever listen to audiobooks.

Yep, any book finished in 2016 counts.
What is the most you ever paid for a book?I think I've spent around $40 on a rare edition history book I needed for research.
Joanne wrote: "Speaking of technical questions, it is okay to count books I've decided to reread in 2016, right? Doesn't matter that I've read it before as long as I start and finish it again in 2016? Thanks."Yes, that's fine! As long as Goodreads shows you finished them again in 2016.
