177170 I am feeling a little lost. I finished ADWD and am trying to wait a bit before starting Dunk and Egg. I started a few books but it is so hard to like anything after GRRM. I really should create my own rule not to start a new book right after completing a good one. It is too hard to find anything good when the bar has been set so high.

177170 The first one was so, so good! I think you should read it. 2 was good too but number 1, OMG!!
177170 Oh oooops, I guess I read your post wrong. Lol

I totally thought you said that would have named it that. Seriously, how do I get by in life sometimes?

177170 So after finishing ADWD I looked at my owned books and chose book 3 from the Remnant Chronicles ( The Beauty of Darkness ) to finish that trilogy.

It is so hard to read anything after GRRM and not feel bored. Every time I finish reading one of his nothing seems any good.
177170 1st. A Storm of Swords / This was full of excitement from cover to cover. And Joffrey's death was very satisfying.

2nd. A Game if Thrones / This was a great introduction to a GRRM book. I liked his writing style right off the hop.

3rd. A Dance with Dragons / I loved the Theon Storyline and the few parts with the dragons were so fun. I loved the Jayne Poole parts. Because it was so different from the show, it kept me on the edge of my chair.

4th. A Clash of Kings / Parts dragged but at least there were lots of Tyrion chapters.

5th A Feast For Crows / I did not care for all the people and events of Dorne. This book was a little tough to get through.
177170 Ok. Now that you are on this thread you likely have read all 5 books. Rank them from 1st to 5th as to your level of enjoyment.

Give reasons why if you wish.
177170 I wish mine were in two separate books. A little nicer to hold in the hand weight wise. I used my ereader for this one mostly.

And "After the Feast" would be a great name Ria.
177170 I think the reader is supposed to feel a bit confused here.

To me it seems she just got her "moon blood". But just because you get your period does not mean you can conceive; women have all kinds of issues. But I do think there willl be more to this in the next books, otherwise GRRM would not have thrown that in there.

Yep. Holy crap!
177170 Haha! I did not think he was dead. Ooops.
177170 Well that did not go too well. So if the secret word was not dog how did they pass the first set of guards? Did they get let through just so they could get attacked later?
177170 Lol
177170 I know right?!?! The castamere one nobody seemed to know what he was doing.

This really made me laugh.
177170 Yes, so happy to see he made it to his sister!
177170 I was thinking this was pirate - like too!

Victorian is a giant dick! He is so arrogant.
"But I shall make the dragon queen mine own. She will share my bed and bear me many mighty sons. "

Well you go right on believing that Victorian. Wait till you find out she can't have kids...provided you even make it to her.

This dude rubs me the wrong way. But it made for an interesting chapter.

Yep he is Dani's nephew. (Raegar's son).

I don't know the rest of your question but I kind of think you are right. Someone else here is likey to know.
177170 Oh ok. Well that makes a lot of sense. Lol

Thanks for the clarifiation Ria. He sounds way more manly now.
