We are in our 26th week of 2024 ATY! I just wanted to do a check in and see how everyone is doing in their challenge and what they hope for the second half of the year.
You can answer these questions (or not!)
1. Are you on track with ATY? What are the challenges or hurdles you are facing?
2. What are your goals for the second half of the year?
3. Are you participating in the voting for the 2025 list? What are you most excited about?
4. What's been your best book(s) of the year so far? What are you hoping to read in the second half of the year?
Let's cheer each other on!

Answer the following questions:
- Title
- Author
- Rating
- Format (Print, eBook, Audio)
- ATY Prompt you used it for (if applicable)
- Brief reason why it was the best
Best Books Listopia

Remember that you must put the URL for your Goodreads profile, and you can only use 3 total votes (3 up 0 down, 2 up 1 down, 1 up 2 down, 0 up 3 down) or less.

We typically do not limit how many can make it in the top, but the formula we use would generally discourage from all 5 making it. One of them is going to have less net votes than the others, but we will likely not do a “bottom” so all prompts can be re-suggested in the actual polls.

Voting will open in the morning of Wednesday, June 26 and results will be posted in the morning of Sunday, June 30 (CST time).
How it works:
- When the voting opens, follow the link to the poll that will be added at the end of this post
- You have a total of 3 votes this poll to spread across your favorite and least favorite prompts (you can also use less than 3 votes)
- You can find examples of acceptable voting practices on the Introduction thread.
- The prompts with the more favorable votes (comparing top votes to bottom votes, and looking at the overall number of votes it received) will be added to the final list.
We are asking people to include their Goodreads profile address when they vote. To find this, just go to your own profile and then copy the URL/web address. If for some reason you can't link to your Goodreads profile, please post your full Goodreads name with enough identifiable information that we'll be able to access your profile.
As a reminder: You have a total of 3 votes to use among your top and bottom votes. The mods have access to each individual vote, so we can see if you use more than 3 votes. If you use more than 3 votes in the poll, your vote will have to be deleted, so please make sure to follow the directions so your voice can be heard.
These prompts were chosen during our May Mini-Thon. You can find more information about the prompts in this discussion thread.
Possible Prompts:
1. A science fiction or fantasy novel written by a woman
2. A book with an animal on the cover
3. A book set in a different hemisphere than where you live
4. A book that involves art, music, dancing or acting
5. A book told from multiple character POVs
Feel free to discuss the prompts below, but please remember to be respectful to the other group members.
