Thankfully, most of these are also available on Kindle Unlimited on the German page. :)

Good idea, Jill! And I can also hardly compete with a Lorac nomination. ;)

That sounds good, Susan, and I got that for my kindle two years ago when it was also on sale.
Susan wrote: "OK, I will leave the Blake in the mix. If anyone is interested, I will run it as a buddy read in December and, if not, I will just read it myself :)"I already read it, so won´t reread.
Sandy wrote: "Michaela wrote: "I want to nominate a collection of short stories by Martin Edwards:

I want to nominate a collection of short stories by
Martin Edwards:
Silent Nights: Christmas Mysteries.

I´ll definitely read this, but haven´t started yet.

I don´t think I´m familiar with any of these authors, but I´m looking ahead to discovering these series and perhaps continuing them. Thanks Mods for all the work with setting up these challenges!

I liked the first half, and then - as Sandy said - it got too complicated for me. The end was also dissatisfying with the convenient suicide of the murderer.

Thanks Susan and Judy! I remembered something like that. And yes, the cover is beautiful!

I´m halfway through, and liking it so far.

Don´t know if I can nominate
Green for Danger by
Christianna Brand, as it´s already been read in January 2018, even if as a buddy read.

I read this a few months ago, so won´t reread it.

I like this series, but I couldn´t get warm with the mystery in this one. Liked Sloan and Crosby too, though I think the younger one is described as being very naive, or at least Sloan thinks Crosby doesn´t know much about police work.

Oh, great! Didn´t think it would win. Looking ahead to the read! :)

I agree with you re the unnecessary romance, as Golden Age mysteries don´t normally have them. Interesting observation, Susan, and LOL about the last sentence!

Thanks Susan for the list and Susan in NC for the suggestion!

Silent Nights is on my tbr list. :)

I thought this didn´t have much of the mystery or its solving in it but was more about Haluin´s journey and all the people surrounding him and his love. It was well written though, and I liked the different characters.

Judy - I only read it during the last few days.
