Gosh that's confusing - we've got two books on the go with someone called Troy in them!

I often do this Carol and find it really helps. Once I've made a list of the characters with a note of who they are, it seems to fix them in my brain and I don't usually have refer to the notes again very often.

173974 Thanks for all the suggestions which are a great help. There are so many to choose from that I just didn't know where to start, but I've got a few ideas now.

173974 I'm listening to Smallbone Deceased by Michael Gilbert at the moment and really enjoying it. The narration by David Thorpe is excellent. I'd like to try some other British Library Crime Classics, which ones would you recommend?
173974 I didn't find the reveal too rushed, mainly because I still had no idea who did it until I realised she was the only one left! So I was racing through to get to the solution and found it all quite tense.
173974 I finished it earlier in the week and enjoyed it. I wasn't planning on joining in the P.D.James challenge, but I read the comments here and it sounded intriguing so decided to give it a go. I'll be interested now to see how the series progresses and how Dalgliesh is portrayed.

I use Castbox Sue and found it there.

I would appreciate a thread dedicated to podcasts if others agree.

Yes I've started to listen to this quite recently and am currently working my way through previous episodes. Very enjoyable and informative.

Have we got a list anywhere of other podcasts group members enjoy?

I've found a solution just now - luckily the books I want to remove from the kindle app are ones that I don't want to keep anywhere so I've just realised that I can delete them directly from my account on the Amazon website. I also have some other books and documents that didn't come from Amazon and I found these were also shown in the 'Manage Your Content and Devices' section so I've been able to delete all the things I don't want to keep any more.

Thanks for the suggestions - I got there in the end!

Yes, I've read various instructions on how to remove a book from a device but when I try it the only option is to mark it as read/unread. It's a kindle app on my phone and tablet that I've got.

Oh and I agree about the rental system being more suitable in some cases. My kindle account is full of books that I got because they were free and I don't really want to keep but I don't know how to get rid of them!

It suits me much better to have a 'rental' system instead, and there seems to be lots of choice in Kindle Unlimited...."

I'm having similar thoughts Sue. I'm on a 3 month break on Audible at the moment. I've been listening to a lot of podcasts and radio this past year and my audible credits had been mounting up. I found that I could take a break from paying the monthly fee for 3 months when obviously I don't get any credits either, so I'm using up the accumulated credits.

I'm going to see how my 3 months on Kindle Unlimited goes and then I might cancel Audible and do Kindle Unlimited instead. The choice does seem to have increased recently. I understand that I get to keep the audiobooks I've already bought if I cancel my Audible membership - or you can continue taking 3 month breaks as long as you pay at least one month's membership at the end of each break.
173974 Ruth wrote: "That's really useful Sue, thank-you. It's a good starting point actually as it led me to a link for books already in my kindle library that I can get a reduced price audiobook on."

The other reason I like the text to go with an audio book is that sometimes I need to go over a section again and it's easier to find in a physical book or an ebook that on an audio version.

Thanks Judy - I'll have a hunt around myself :-)

Do you just happen upon these Kindle Unlimited books that also include the audible version or can you do a specific search for them Judy? I've just taken up a three month deal for Kindle Unlimited and thought it would be fun to try reading along with an audiobook.
