I finished the first one yesterday and will start the second one sometime next week.
Abigail wrote: "Susan and Shaina, I agree with Judy that it’s a series that doesn’t really need to be read in order. Inspector Appleby does age and grow in his career over the course of the books, but there isn’t ..."Abigail, I really stopped reading this author after Stop Press! lol
I look forward to the "sweets to come"
Judy wrote: "That's great, Shaina, enjoy! I don't think they need to be read in order though, so anyone who doesn't have time to read the earlier books should still be fine to join in."I know that they don't need to be read in order however, they are available on KU and this buddy read gives me the push needed to get to them : ) (the fact that I need to read them or it will bother me doesn't count)

I have read only 2 of the books listed
Stop Press and
There Came Both Mist And Snow. I would like to join the buddy read as most of the books are available on KU. I'm off to read
Death at the President's Lodging,
Hamlet, Revenge! and
Lament for a Maker so I'm ready to join in July.

Yay! I started the year with this book and I really enjoyed it and laughed out loud so many times. I look forward to the discussion

Thank you for that update, Judy! It is available on KU and I've just downloaded it.

Yay! I already have this on my Kindle waiting to be read.

This week I read
Murder's a Swine: A Second World War Mystery by
Nap Lombard and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I also read
The Body in the Dumb River by
George Bellairs which was quite good and
The Incredible Crime: A Cambridge Mystery by
Lois Austen-Leigh (great-great niece of Jane Austen) which started quite well but was disappointing overall.

I quite enjoyed this book and laughed out loud a few times. I loved the chapter headings and how the buck kept getting passed on from one to another.
I agree with all of Pamela's point too!

I read The Man Who Died Twice last week and really enjoyed it. I love all those folks and can't wait for future developments!

I'm starting this in the day or two

I read Till Death Do Us Part by Carr last month. It was superb!

The challenge list looks really interesting. Apart from the Sayers and Christie I haven't read any of the other books. Incidently, I started reading Death in Fancy Dress a few minutes before I saw the list.
Thank you for all the effort put into creating this wonderful challenge.

I'm starting this one today as soon as I finish our Inspector French group read. I haven't been able to read as much as I like as work seems to be going back to pre covid levels.

Thank you, Roman Clodia for that insight. I downloaded it on my kindle last month but didn't start the book as I came across a negative review of a friend on GR. Looks like I will read it after all :)

Just when I bought the ebook KU makes it available....I'm looking forward to this one as I only read a short story by the author and really enjoyed it...

I'm halfway through this one.

Sandy, thank you for checking. It can be nominated some other time maybe.
Welcome,Susan in NC. It sure has put me off wax museums. It was that spooky.
Marie wrote: "For the Maigret buddy reads what does everyone think about starting with the first Piotr the Latvian on either the 15th of August or September?"I would like to join in. Either month works for me. This is a new to me author and I look forward to reading this one.
