166871 My friend is constantly reading adult thriller or mystery or suspense novels and she is obsessed with Tana French, Liane Moriarty, & Jennifer McMahon. she keeps telling me to read their books and a few others. When she does recommend a book to me, I do end up loving it. So I'll list the books she has recommended to me and maybe they will be to your liking as well!

For Liane Moriarty she has recommended:
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty & The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

For Jennifer McMahon she has recommended:
The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon & The Night Sister by Jennifer McMahon

Other Books She Has Recommended To Me:
Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger

you have a point with Poppy growing a bit by the end of the story. But I still don't get what the point was. haha.

166871 Alicja wrote: "so I finished this one right under the wire and I think this may be the first time I finished a book not liking any of the characters. I mean am I alone in my struggle to find redeeming qualities? ..."

Number 1. YAY for finishing it! Number 2. I liked the characters some of the time. Number 3. There were many times that I wanted to DNF it. But I pushed through so that I could finish it for book club. But honestly, I kinda wish I DNF'd it. It just didn't do it for me. Like, what was the point of the story? To show that Wink and Poppy were crazy? Like I just don't get it! haha. I don't understand what happened. Like I comprehend the stuff that happened. But I don't comprehend why it happened.

Maybe I'm not making any sense...

166871 Has anyone read this yet? I have 47 pages left in the book and I have a feeling that Wink is just crazy and making it all up. Like Midnight and Poppy don't exist and this was a story created in her crazy, batshit mind.

Haha. Maybe I've just got crazies on the brain. But this is my theory so far. Because I don't see how Poppy can be switched to not be a maniacal bitch.

And Midnight.. Am I the ONLY one who thinks he's just super... pretentious? ugh, he drives me crazy!
