Doesn't it feel weird reading these books while the LA riots are going on? Like history repeating except it's immigrants instead of black people this time.

Not sure if this is only brought up in book 1 but still it makes me sad.

The name Octavius Evander is so extra 😂 I'm expecting some comedy. It says slow burn with a little heat...that wouldn't be my first choice, but I'm here for blood, gore and violence.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the first one. Especially with it being set in the 90's and being a 90's baby, it feels very nostalgic.

I'm looking forward to some romance this time.
