I tried to look casual as the beautiful Beth spoke with Claudia. I couldn't help feeling self-conscious, considering that the boy of my dreams was standing right in front of me, and Beth was a few feet away. Drew looked at her for a minute and I felt an unual wave of loathing towards Beth. She had my crush's attention and I didn't like that. I got out of the van and tapped Drew on the shoulder, a new confidence found.

"Hey, Drew. What's up?" He turned and smiled the smile that made my heart melt.

"Hey, Vi." It sounded so lovely when he said my name. "I'm actually on a summer road trip. I saw you guys, and thought I might tag along." He looked a tad nervous. "If that's okay with you."

I smiled and said, "Of course Drew. We kind of forgot to invite you. Sorry about that. Did you come with anyone?" Relief flooded his face as I gave my assurance.

"Oh, no. I was just riding my bike." My heart fluttered, and I realized why I felt such a loathing towards Beth. I was jealous of the few seconds that Drew had looked at her. Imagine, me jealous.

"Hey Greg!" I yelled. He was gawking at Beth from where he stood by Claudia. E and Nell were talking with Beth politely about who knew what. "Get your butt over here and say hi to Drew. We got a long drive you know."

When are you going to post one Allison?

I'll be sixten in October. And I'll be eighteen for my senior year like Bella.

Ew. He was so freaky.

But that still counts as a flaw. And I think I could live with that.
