I think I made myself quite clear.

I found the bear emerging from his cave, yawning and sniffing for food. He was a nice size. I decided to play with him a bit. Get the anger out. So I stepped out in front of him, making sure my presence was known. He looked at me curiously. I probably looked different from any other food he'd seen.

I crouched down, ready to pounce, when I smelled another sweet scent. It was another vampire. Not one I'd encountered before. They were headed this way. I turned around, and there stood Claudia's mother, with black eyes.

(Ha ha)

I let go of her hand and walked into the trees as I spoke. "Fine, fine. Just bundle all your feelings up and get depressed. And don't follow me. I'm going hunting. And looking for Drew. See you in a bit."
I started running as fast as I could. My animal instincts kicked in as I smelled a bear. Good. I needed something feisty.

"What?" I looked at Claudia. She seemed a little, well, irritated. I looked into her eyes and saw pain. "What's wrong C? You know you can tell me anything." We sat on a log and I held her hand.

"Think what? That your parents are suspicous? No way. You did just fine." We were back in the clearing and Beth had left. I wondered what she was up to.

"Hey, why don't we see what stuff we left at the camp? We could find some extra clothes and stuff." I thought this might cheer Claudia up.

I dragged Clauida back to the forest. She wasn't doing so good. And I didn't want the temptation to call my parents. Beth would be mad, but I would help Clauida no matter what. We were like sisters.

I had heard everyword exchanged and something seemed odd to me. "You know how your dad said they went hunting?" Claudia nodded. "Since when do they hunt? That sounded way too out of character for them. And a concidence..." I trailed off as we ran. We had gone alone while the others hunted.

Some things occurre to me. Her parents were fast, even for humans. They had eyes that were usually gold. They took short trips now and then....

It is AWESOME! Any Twifan should read the Host.
