Working on it right now.

Here's a sneak peek:

“I do not have the horrors, mother!” the girl snapped. “I’m excited is all. I’ve nearly killed mad circus people, had an attempt on my own life, seen my grandmother’s cottage burned, and I’m being whisked across the countryside to my wedding. I daresay you’ve had not even a tenth of this adventure in your entire life. Let me revel in this!”

You're welcome. It seems like things are really quiet around here for weeks, then all of a sudden they all come out of the woodwork to spam us.

I dunno what you're talking about, but just two comments above yours I had to remind someone of the rules. Please follow the rules. No links! And this came across as self-promotion, though it could have been about shearing sheep. I'm not sure.

NO!!!

Even with the added "please" you're still breaking so many rules with this post. Why don't you PLEASE review the rules of the group before posting again.

To sum up:

* No self-promotion
* No asking for reviews
* No hijacking threads
* No links of any kind

It's definitely not in this group. I'm not sure you can do that anywhere in Goodreads, but not here.
154447 'Kay, so it seems the blue eyed wolf is getting the majority of the votes. It's my favorite, too, and my wife's. I'll work on making the font bolder or larger.

Yes, B.A., the next step will be to come up with a decent blurb that will help make sense of the cover.
154447 My target audience is pretty wide. My work probably shouldn't be read by young children. Aside from that I don't write for anyone specific.

Interesting idea...
154447 Gail wrote: "I remember #8, but I love #1....fav color is blue and in that image, it's piercing."

That's the one I'm most leaning toward, too.
154447 Phillip wrote: "I like the bottom right corner."

It's one of my favorites, too. The problem I have with it is, it tells more about the setting of a good portion of the book, and not much about the actual story.
154447 Lyvita wrote: "Dwayne, I might be missing the point, but why aren’t pigs on the front cover?"

The seven are not literal pigs. They are a band of paranormal investigators that get in the way of a wolf from another dimension. He refers to them as "pigs".

You're hijacking a thread, bookwhacking, and posting links. Please review the rules of the group.

I darkened the yellow on the cover above. I am also toying with some other ideas...

Learn about the craft of writing. Learn to be extra critical of your own writing. Then read your rough draft and improve everything you don't like. It should be about 100% of the book.

Then... do it again.

Then... do it again.

And again.

Thank you for understanding. It's not likely you'd have any backlash for your post, but there is that chance and I would hate to see that happen to you.

It's not exactly horror. Bits of it, yes. It's... I don't even know what it is, right now. Paranormal mystery fits best, I think.

I like it. I came up with a cover. It might need some tweaking, if I decide to use it and this title. I put it in another thread along with a reason why the cover may be a bad idea.

I now have a possible cover to go with the potential title...
