Thanks, Melanie.
All updated upto msg 108.

Thanks, Rosemarie. I'll try to shove a short book in December. I have some long reads to finish first. I'll edit msg 2.

Shout out to you all for supporting votes (again). We've done well in our hefty and husky. But we have only 5 clear selections for slender. Need to work out one more. So please take a minute and check out the list in msg 2. Thanks.

I completed my challenge (msg 2). If my Greek plays count (I've added them), I have completed Dedicated Explorer. If not, I've done Advancing in the Journey and will be stopping there.
Rosemarie wrote: "I've just finished Clouds by Aristophanes. Don't waste your time reading this one-it was boring and coarse. I rated it one-star."Oh, no, Rosemarie. I've scheduled it as my next greek comedy! Sigh.
My collection has "The Acharnians" as the other Aristophanes play. But GR shows it's got even poor rating than "The Clouds".

I finished
Lysistrata by
Aristophanes. It was an interesting play and I had a good laugh. This is my first Greek comedy, so it's too soon to come to conclusions. But I feel I prefer Greek tragedies.

For the attention of all members.
In the rules set in msg 1, I have said that the unchosen but supported books will be taken forward. I have failed to mention that the above words refer only to the new books added this year and NOT to the ones taken forward from last year.
To ensure variety, the books not won will be taken forward only a year and not continuously until they're chosen.
I will mark (‡) the ones taken from last year in msg 2, so if you want to read them with the group next year, please make sure they win.
Thanks, and sorry for the omission.
Lindenblatt wrote: "For example, 'Atlas shrugged' has not been nominated yet, but is from the original (last year's) list of suggestions.'...""Atlas Shrugged" is newly added to the list and not taken from last year.

I have decided to take forward the suggestion with at least one vote for next year, so I'll be keeping my promise. There are set standards which we rigidly follow to ensure fair play. Other than that, we are flexible in our threads.

Thanks for working the math, Lindenblatt. Much appreciate your sound explanation. Yes, it'd be the same if each nominator has his/her nomination counted as a support. And also, it'll be a double-counting.

Anisha, it's true that the nominator is an interested party. But as a group, we look for wider participation. So to accommodate the interest of a majority, we don't generally count the nomination for a vote. If you check on other suggestion threads in this group or other group nominations, you'll see that nominator doesn't count as a voter. Thanks.
