Joey Morales was the last recruit of the government's full black operation, the Orphan Program. Trained to be an assassin until she washed out, she was rescued by Evan Smoak, the former agent known as Orphan X.

Usually working from the shadows, Joey has to put herself on the line and in harm's way this time to not just avenge the dead but to protect the rest of the women who are targets of the hidden cabal behind The List.

I think you’re right, Lieke. When I lived in Italy as a young girl (3 years), I could speak Italian pretty well. Lost it when I returned home and never used it.

Wow, Lieke! I can only handle one language.

No matter! The series, at least the first few books, are free with my Audible subscription!

Welcome to the group, Honeyee! Yes, we focus a lot on our series reading, making serious dents in our lists but…it’s hard to ignore the good ones introduced by fellow members. At least we’re focused on it, right?😏

Who Cries for the Lost by C.S. Harris, Sebastian St. Cyr #18, and I’m adjusting to the new narrator but the intrigue and historical authenticity is still exceptional.
