I hope you're having a great time interacting with everyone here. And I am also a die-hard FC Barcelona's fan :) Glad to know that you're an engineer. I was one, left in 3rd year of ENTC eng. and changed career paths (I'm a soon-to-be published 24 years old author now. I write psychological-thrillers.)
If you have any queries, feel free to ask.
Also, apart from Genre Challenge, we have quite a lot of other challenges (like NetGalley Challenge, Classics Catch-up, etc.) If you find something that's up your ally, do join in.
Have a great day!

Jan - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Been waiting for a long long time)
Feb - 1984
March - All the Light We Cannot See
April - All the Bright Places
May - Clockwork Ang....."
Nice selection of books, Manveer. I see you have quite a lot of classics there. Great picks :)

It's a NaNo spin-off. Month long writing fest.

Hi Victoria, welcome to RMFAO's NetGalley Challenge. And 30 books is really nice, considering that you joined NG in June. Way to go girl. I'm sure you'll easily read more than 50 books for this challenge :)
If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to ask.
Have a great day! And all the best for this challenge :)

I've finished the series and other books could ruin my opinion about it. This isn't a series I would see continue at any cost.
"
Hmm... same here. I'm seriously not enjoying this series as much as I thought I would. It's really disappointing. I guess I'll just finish it by reading the 3rd one and then leave it at that.

Last year only a few people joined in this challenge but to be honest, this challenge was far more inspiring than I initially thought it would be. So here it is again! RMFAO 2016 NetGalley Challenge.
If you want to join in then all you have to do is announce your participation here along with your target. There are no levels in this one as I know how difficult it is to determine all these reads beforehand. So the minimum is 2 books and the maximum is limitless.
Last year I decided to read 25 books and ended up reading 30+, so this year I'll be aiming for at least 50 NG books. I'll be synchronising these reads with RMFAO 2016 Genre Challenge.

Reviewing has kind of clouded my reading preferences so with this list I am trying to read the books that I have always wanted to read. :) "
I can understand! Even I wanted to do this but I have at least 200 NetGalley books to read and review and as I'm writing my second novel, I think it'll be crazily chaotic when I do JuNo and Camp NaNo in June and July 2016... I haven't even counted the review requests...lol! I'm just glad that I have 3 review contributors who review most of the requested books, otherwise, I would have had to close down the requests again.
Here's hoping that everything will go smoothly in 2016 and we all will be able to read all the books we are planning for :)
PS: We also have a NetGalley challenge if you wanna join.

There is always Edgar Rice Burroughs. I've been meaning to read his Land That Time Forgot trilogy. I was disappointed in A Princess of Mars which is the first of his John Carte..."
HBF- Huckleberry Fin. (hehe!)
And thanks a ton, Prof. Dagny!!! I'll check all of these out and add them to my classics-list.
PS: I had no idea John Carter movie was an adaptation and also that it's a part of the series. Interesting.

I'll be completing the Richard Hannay series this year.
@Dagny Can you please recommend some adventure classic? (other than HBF.)

I will be also. How many do I already know for sure? Three, lol. And none of them even fit for this Challenge. They're group reads which a..."
Hehe! 3 is a good start :D
I was just browsing for some classic reads and I think I'll be doing Little Women and Gulliver Of Mars for Classics challenge as well as this one (for classics month.)

I've also finalized "some" of the books that I'll be reading in 2016, but I'll be adding more as we go ahead.

Most of the books are from NetGalley, so I am yet to include the ones from the library and my book hauls.
Like this year, I'll be reading 100 books next year as well but if I'll have to get busy with the publication and marketing process of my own debut novel then I might be taking a break in between for a few months or so.
All the best everyone!

BTW, I've created the new (and a much cooler) logo for this challenge. Please create a fresh thread for this challenge "RMFAO 2016 Classics Challenge" whenever you get some time (as you are the moderator of this challenge so it'll be best that you only write the intro to this challenge.) Then I'll put up the logo pic there so that we can start announcing the new books and use the logo for the blog posts :)

BTW, this challenge will be open for next year as well. :)

Hi David, welcome to RMFAO.
We have a lot of reading challenges for 2016. Feel free to participate in whichever you like.

We'll have all the other challenges again this year, even if a single person participates. And please count me in for the classics challenge, Dagny. I'm making a new (and matching) logo for the Cassics Challenge as well :D
