Thant's a lot of Mystery/Crime/Thriller books... great going Steve :)
And don't worry, As Dagny mentioned, I won't hold you from participating in Series Challenge. Just drop by the respective thread and list the books you've read and also the ones you're planning to read :)
Dagny wrote: "Thanks to Steve's mention of Listopia, I found a book I've had my eye on for a while is considered a time-travel romance. The Time Traveler's Wife"
Even I've to read this one... :)
Steve wrote: "Dagny wrote: "'m with ya, it's what make it fun for us! Who says a romance can't also be sci-fi or thriller or {fill in the blank}? "
HAhaha! Even I'm with ya ;) I'm gonna read all the thrillers that are yet to be read in March (as almost every book has romance in it, so can be counted for march...heheh!)
Steve wrote: "I agree! This is a great challenge, and one I'll be continuing for several years! :D "
Thanks a lot Steve. I'm so glad that everyone likes this idea. And sure... we'll be having this challenge every year (with additional fun elements!)
Thanks for being a part of it :D
Dagny wrote: "I'm up to five books - bookiopath - too. I just need to check if I think I can fit them all in timewise. This is the absolutely best and most fun challenge, Heena. It will be a different experienc..."
Thanks a lot Dagny... I'm glad even you like this idea.
I've been neglecting so many genres for quite long... but not anymore! This challenge is fulfilling it's purpose of organising ones reads :)
Thanks to you too for participating and making it so much fun and warm to continue for the entire year! :D
Dagny wrote: "Thanks again, Steve. I just discovered that Charlaine Harris Sookie ..."Even I'm gonna read Paranormal Romance books (gotta complete Vampire Academy Series!)
And I agree... mysteries more or less have romantic angle, so the ones that have, can easily be counted for Romance... Now you're talking Dagny! We can read more mysteries in March... Hallelujah!
Dagny wrote: "Heena wrote: "If you'll ask me, the best romance books, that I know of, are the ones by Nicholas Sparks. he is definitely the king of romance and all his stories are very different from each other...."Somehow I missed reading The Rescue... but now that you've mentioned it, I'll read it for March :)
Thanks a lot Dagny! You're saviour! :)I'll read atleast 2 classics for the romance month as I have a lot of books already on my hands (all mystery...lol!)
Thanks again!
And I wanted to ask that I downloaded an audio book of Three Men In A Boat but it was only 20 minutes long. As it is my first audio-book, I don't have any clue about how much long they are supposed to be. What do you think? Is it the complete book or just part of it?
Hehe! Thanks for saying that Dagny! You're so sweet :)I just wanna read the books to understand what he liked about Napoleon so much that he changed his birth name.
Can you recommend me some romantic classics?
Nope... No one in the entire India has that name, but my father!Actually his birth name was different (it was Abhay) but when my grandfather told him about Napoleon at the age of 4, he changed his name to Napoleon. We have a huge arms and ammunitions factory and so my father became the Emperor of our own small kingdom of guns and bullet. It started as a joke, but later everyone realised that he actually changed his name that day and no one knows him by his real name till now... lol!
So basically I'm the daughter of Napoleon... heheheh! I have always been very proud of him to have chosen the name he likes... I guess I've got my creative bugs from him only ;)
I'm gonna re-read all the Nicholas Sparks books and some of Nora Robert's as well. I have a few recs. also by a lot of readers, so I'll check them out as well.
Steve wrote: "I'm with Chris on this one, romance is definitely not my thing. I even stooped to Listopia to find a couple of "romance" books to get the list up to five/bookiopath level! :PStill, I'll make a..."
Hahaha! Nice gif... All the best Steve for the romance month :)
