
Cally stood there in his room, a little dumbfounded.

"Um," Cally said, blushing harder.

Cally pulled away gently, blushing.

Cally blushed. "Really. T-Thanks."

Cally nodded throughout the tour. "Thank you, Markus."

Cally grabbed his hand and followed him.

"The police kinda know where I live," Cally said.

Cally nodded. She wished he would say something else.

Cally walked over to the door. She glanced behind her at Markus.

Cally stood up. "I'm leaving."

Cally flinched away. "Don't worry, I won't."

"Not you. I've met other police you know," Cally answered, her eyes darkening.

Cally sighed. "It's like, just, I can't explain it. But every single person I've met in the Resistance is nice and kind. Almost all the police officers have been jerks."

Cally shook her head. "It's hard to explain."
