Just looking at interesting flags and not red, white and blue

Just based on the Precis (cause I haven't read it yet), I'm thinking this would qualify for a retelling of Aladdin?
Wyatt's life is turned upside down when the fiancee he doesn't love is kidnapped, and he's given an ultimatum: Steal the so-called "magic lamp" that Aladdin's lover, Jensen, never allows to leave his side or watch the woman die. It's a task he's pretty sure will take magic to to achieve--or possibly just an internship at Jensen's film production company will do. But what happens when Wyatt discovers just how magical that lamp really is?

In Precis: New Orleans felt like the right place for me to disappear.
The book isn't out yet, so it won't have tags.

When one of us finds time we will have to do it for Peaches and Lecroy's book. I think I also saw one of those social pixies picking on Phil when they were shopping and Ray get their own books.
No Good Deed is the first one I read by this author last year during hunt. It was Mod Lisa's month and each category she recommended a book and you got like 100 pts for reading that book. I have to finish out that series since it seems like it continues, but haven't found time to do it.
I like the low sexy times in this one. Sometimes it feels like that is added to prove the connection between the characters and this didn't do that. the small touches and stuff did that and they way the author described their feelings and the looks was just so good.

Don't worry. I'm on like 5 challenges with that or a subset of that group already. We even have our own mini group where we chat about everything. It's just nice to be in a challenge with at least one other person I know.

I hate when people do that. I just causes more pain. I did like that Ray forced the issue when Phil showed up at the mine. Then he had a say in what happened to him. I just wish they'd have realized sooner that he bonded so they didn't have to go through all that.
Though, I think the fight at the end was good to give Ruthie some peace of mind about someone killing Dillon.

I didn't think of the gnomes being weaponized when I read it, but when they started talking about them being drugged., I got it then. I'm almost said they had to be put down. Arie is a big meanie.

I really enjoyed this book. I've read one other by this author and it was another slow burn. I have to say I didn't mind. the writing was good and I was hooked. I would have read it faster, but work and sleep kept getting in the way.
I'm off to read your pieces now. :)
