As I was finishing it I remembered why they did the "One Year Earlier" and Gesh throwing the fit over Noah.
Zercy is way longer, but I think the writing is just as good.

The Princess, the Prick & the Priest

I sent April a message at the same time as I sent you one. I asked for Check-In by 9/3 and they have not checked in yet.
I can give you two options.
1. Wait a few more days for them to check-in and hope that they do. If they do not, I would be your partner when I provide the first prompt on 9/6.
2. I can remove her as your partner and I can be your partner.
Do you have a preference?

Anyway I've started it.

I'm not sure if I can do the BR. I'll have to ask...

“Plants grow roots,” she whispered. “Roots creep. Roots spread. You chose well.”
Then she listened as you all spoke of comfort zones, of books you don’t like, of stories you’d rather not touch.
Her head tilted just a little too far.
“Don’t worry… the books you fear most are always the ones that find you anyway.”

Informal Poll: Once everyone is checked in, do you want me to provide the prompt early? You would have from the time I give the prompt until 5pm on Sunday the 14th to finish and check -in. It would be the only week I could provide it early...

I'm not a huge Sci-Fi fan, so I'll alternate those and other books this month. I can start with that one and then do hyperspeed (need for bachelor) after that.

Sorry.

This one felt more like an introduction to the Tallus/Diem series (now that I've read those ones). I was trying to figure out what they were going to do about the unsolved disappearance and then I remembered.
I just love the way Aslan loves Quaid. He gets him, he understand and that is just a great thing to have in a partner.

They glittered in the dark, threads of light twisting like a snare.
“Unfamiliar genres… ahh, the best ones. A necklace always tightens differently when you’re not used to wearing it.”
One jewel pulsed faintly, like a heartbeat.
“Yes, Jackie. Choose your India book. Slip it on. Just don’t be surprised if it never quite comes off again.”
