I know it's a bit early, but I usually h..."Always awesome when that happens! Unfortunately for me it usually goes the other way. If I find something outside of my tbr for a challenge, it's almost always going to be a big steaming pile of not-so-good, lol!

I find I tend to rate authors against themselves... So even though Bernard Cornwell (for example) will write a book that is better than most other authors' on his worst day, I rate it against his others and he may only get 3 or 4 stars. It's kinda unfair really, but it's an automatic thing I seem to have no control over, lol.
But overall I tend to rate quite harshly compared to most of my Goodreads friends. Oddly, when I was in my 20s, every book was awesome, but these days I demand more from my books and rate accordingly (including dropping ratings for old favourites when I find they no longer seem as good to me!).

You know... Every time I make a real dent in my audio books, audible has another 2-for-1 sale and the number goes right back to where I started :D

I completed bingeing season 1 of Gilmore Girls! could I start season 2 please? :)
