133157 Where did you get the idea for the Yara and where did that word come from?

I don't talk about Dream very much but I can tell you that all the characters you know and love will at least make an appearance. ;)

I would love to come to San Francisco. I am likely not touring officially until fall 2015 but you can always ask your local bookstore to invite me or find out when a local book event or conference is happening and send me a msg about it.

Thank you so much :-)"

Absolutely. There's no question about reading and no I don't really feel like it interferes with my writing. Each style is different. I learn from every book I read and every new author I discover.

133157 Now that you've written a few different worlds, do you have a favorite?

133157 Juneau's name obviously comes from Alaska and Sitka if I remember correctly was one of the names on the film Brother Bear which is also based in the same location. Was that movie any influence on your name choices?

133157 I loved Juneau's dogs. Do you have a pet?
Jun 07, 2014 09:31PM

133157 Did you get to go to Alaska? Maybe for research?

That's possible. The other part of it may be the immediate gratification thing too. They want the guy and the girl together immediately and if you do that then the story is boring and they lose interest.

Okay we seriously need to schedule a HSM party."

YES. THIS!"

I'll supply the food and you bring Zac Efron ;)

I think you have something there. I can't tell you how many times I hear from fans that they LOVE my series and despise my heroine with a passion that just seems extreme.

I agree. It's awesome inspiration!

The first book in a series is always the hardest for me too. I'm still feeling out the characters. Once I get a good idea of how they think, I'm usually fine.

133157 If you could win the starring role in a musical, which one would you choose? AND who would you pick to be your costar? ;)
