Blood Moon Prophecy
'Harry Potter' meets 'Pokemon' while sailing the ocean. It was a 'telling' the story instead of 'showing' it.

VenCo wasn't that great. The blurb sounded interesting but the story/writing/progression didn't reach the mark at all. Slow and dragged on and on and on.....2 Stars
Vampire Weekend
was an ok book. Not horror, more of a general fiction with vampires.I gave it 2 stars

Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett
2 stars. A slow and boring read. The characters and what little action there is, all lack depth and descriptions.
Think Harry Potter with vampires instead of wizards, but with some sexual descriptions of young adults. VAMPS by Nicole Arend
It wasn't bad, but...

Hex You by P.C. & Kristin Cast
, the final book in the Sisters of Salem series was ok but not as good as the House of Night. Even though it's aimed at YA, it's not suitable for readers under 14. Major, and very inappropriate, adult content was in the first book, and it is referred to in this book.
Wrath
went where you'd think it would go, and it wasn't that great. Got boring towards the end. Now reading Desert Creatures
, and it's even worse. Very disappointed in this one. The book cover and blurb are the only things good about it. I would give up, but I'm almost done. (Didn't have a backup at work so I was stuck with it on break.)Up next is Big Bad
. They were nice enough to approve me Friday (16), but it comes out on the 27. grrr.
One Dark Window
was great, 4 stars, but it was also one of the worst types of cliffhangers, and there was nothing to alert the reader that it was going to be a series. Up next, Wrath
, a book I've had since April, but it's not set for publication until October.
Storm and Flame
was an okay of a read. I gave it a low 3 stars. More descriptions would've helped this story. Now reading One Dark Window
, and I'm already 1/2 through and I'm liking this one! The author really thought this one out!
I've wondered that myself. I've rated many books 1 or 2 stars and DNF a couple but have yet to notice not being approved, but I don't pay close attention to the publishers, just the books blurbs, but maybe I should.
In the Shadow Garden
was a pretty good book. I had a few tiny issues, but it I gave it 3 stars.Up next, Storm and Flame
