125752 Mod
Pick Me Challenge!!!

1. Create a new shelf or update your existing shelf on your bookshelf that includes approximately 20 books that you would like to have someone use to pick a book for you to read. Books will only be selected from the shelf you choose.

2. By the end of the month, post in this thread that you want to participate and provide a link to your Pick Me shelf. (If you've participated before, I already have your link and you don't have to re-post it.)

3. On the first day of the month I’ll use the randomizer to pair up everyone.

4. Friend your partner who is picking for you or set your profile to public or your partner will not be able to access your shelf.

5. You have until the 3rd of the month to post your selection for your partner in this thread.

6. Come back after finishing the book selected for you by your partner (even if it's after the month has ended) and let everybody know what you think about it.

Sign up period will remain open until the end of this month.

Thanks Di. Yes, we have a pool, but at 110 degrees heat index, my 3 yr old redhead is going to struggle.

125752 Happy Friday Di. No big plans here. I went to the office yesterday. 10 mins before I got there I got a text from my uncle that my aunt passed away. She's been fading from dementia and her illness has been really tough on him. He's 90. Anyways, my boss sent me right back home, didn't even make it to my desk.

Then I get the news that my brother had some sort of calcium test on his heart and the results were pretty bad. I'd never heard of these tests until this year when a coworker's husband had a quadruple bypass as a result of this test to prevent a massive heart attack. My cardiologist has never mentioned this test.

Today I'm not even trying to go to the office. I'll do a little work from home. Wait to hear from my brother. See if my uncle needs anything. And hopefully start getting some of my energy back.

My grandson comes over after daycare on Fridays and we'll be stuck in the apt since it's hot as Hades outside.

One of these days I'm going to have good news to share with y'all.

Glad it's working out with your coworkers. I hate office conflict.

19! Are you kidding? I was pushing 30 before I settled into my career. Young people can find a job anytime, anywhere. Eventually they land on one that becomes their career. Like Di said, much harder to make a midlife career change than to explore when young.

Ouch Stacie. That's a tough situation.

I tried to go to work this morning after being sick all weekend. But my body had other ideas. After I showered I barely had enough energy to crawl back into bed.

I am ready to be done with illness for the year.

I've read SO MUCH PNR that it's inevitable a new story will have bits and pieces from others I've read. This one did seem a jigsaw puzzle of many others. However, as a whole I found it original. Plus, I always appreciate a kick ass heroine.

Oh Grace, I'm sorry, I don't mean to be a PITA, and I'm obviously not very clear with directions.

Could you please use one shelf with same name, same location every month?

Thank you and I appreciate your patience with my convoluted instructions.
