Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications’s comments from the Turning Pages At Midnight group.

Finished. It seemed shorter than the other ones. For me, 2* for the story + 1* for the narration. My opinion, you prob shouldn't read till you finish so it doesn't affect your own enjoyment of the story.
Opinion: (view spoiler)[ I thought parts of the plot repeated using different characters. I really hated how America and Americans were portrayed. Characters kept reappearing to cause more trouble even after they were initially dealt with. Kage gave me severe whiplash. I've had enough of Kempthorn and his secrets. The ending sucked. Pure setup for the next book - which I'll probably listen to. Ha! 🥴 (hide spoiler)]

I don't think it's you. So far, this is my least favorite. To me it feels like the author is trying to stretch out the series when the plot should have concluded. I keep seeing the same mistakes from the characters that they should have learned from long ago.

Plus, I'm not enjoying the English viewpoint of America and Americans.

I went ahead and started this one. I need to find time to double back on another series y'all got ahead of me on.

I'm sorry you didn't like it Jill. I totally understand why. I can't say I'm too happy with the way some things turned out.

However, overall, I'm with Claire. For me, this was the best of the series so far. But unlike Cass, I feel as though it should be the last book of the series. Things should have been left resolved. I'm not really looking forward to new twists in this story. Part of the way I feel may all tie back to the things that upset Jill so much. It didn't leave me wanting more.

Although, more it will be since I'm starting the next one today. 😂 I'm a glutton for book punishment. ...and a sexy narrator voice.

I think crocheting is much easier than knitting but you can make much nicer clothes knitting.

So true! When they're little they outgrow clothes so fast. I haven't made any clothes for my grandson. I made him a big squishy rocket ship rug for his room.

I want to make a zippered hoodie for my niece's little boy. He'll be 1 in December. His dad is from Southampton, England so I'm going to make it in his fc colors. I think they'll get a kick out of that and he can wear it for several winter months here.
