Those are some massive book with a lot of details. I still haven't read book 3. I don't know if I will because i don't want to try to reread the previous one.

I finished my pick and I really liked it. I now remember why I put this off for so long though. The author never finished the series. Now I really wish she had. 4 Star read!

That is what I thought initially. I do think it's getting better. I'm trying not to mess with it.

I read this one last month and thoroughly enjoyed it - solid 4 stars.

125752 Yes! I just finished this morning. I thought it was really good. I'm excited about continuing the series.

Maybe better. The bumps are more pronounced and red. Like they are forming a head. You can see now that the bites or whatever are right where my nose and brow come together. The swelling is maybe a little less. Idk... I think I'm sensitive to how it looks. The swelling is less but the bumps are bigger. There's also a bump on my cheek. maybe they're just pimples. Idk...

125752 Hi y'all!! Thanks for checking on me. It is still a little swollen but not as much. It didn't effect my eyesight. It was mostly the inside corner of my eye and my nose. So my nose looked flat and the inside corner if my eye was puffy. But both are a lot better.

I don't know when I got bit. I noticed the bump yesterday when I was putting in makeup. Of course I started messing with it and that's when it swelled up. Maybe it will be gone by the end of the day.
125752 That's wild to me.

125752 Y'all something bit me on the face. On my cheek and twice by this inside if my eye near the eye brow. The inside if my eye and the bridge of ny nose is swollen on the right side. It looks like I'm turning into a lioness. But just on the right. 🥺

It's so exciting to see your young ones vote for the first time.

It is actually election day today here too! Mayor, school board, and, city council is what was on the ballot.

125752 Happy Friday, y'all! No big plans for me. It's really nice outside right now but rain is on the way. I hope it doesn't storm. The rain is good for my wee garden though, so I'm happy for the rain.

Cassandra, this book has been on my tbr so long, I'm afraid I won't like this writing style anymore. Lol! But I hope I'm wrong because I really liked this author several years ago. My squirrel brain kept putting this off. Thank you for the pick!!
125752 Thanks, Frida, I appreciate that. And I'm also glad you got someone else's opinion too. It feels heavy to me to say an author copied someone else's work. I've read books that I thought to myself, that sounds like XYZ book. I read so many romance books, they have to start sounding alike. But in this case, I really do feel like Celia Arron took SinLin Yu's ideas, changed the characters to vampires/human, the setting, and took out the Handmaid's Tale parts. Those are the differences. There are even several same events. It is all there just slightly different. But way too much the same to be coincidence.

I am SUPER DUPER CURIOUS about Alchemised now. I alread had planned to read it but now I will probably buy it in every form just to try to combat this trilogy.

Okay, I won't keep talking about this. I'll move on to happier reading stuff!

Unless someone else wants to talk about it. 😂
