I also find the kind of Wild West/cowboy-esque or even steam punk at times setting to be sooo cool and super different from the original fantasy setting!
Overall, it is so different from era #1 yet still incorporates elements in such a nuanced way.
MAJOR LOST METAL SPOILER AHEAD
Also I’m in LOVE with Wayne’s character, his banter, his childhood backstory, his growing complexity throughout the series, and his intense goodheartedness… his death nearly BROKE me, I have never cried so hard for a book before!!

SPOILERS CONTINUE BELOW BE WARNED
The relationship between Charlie and Tress is so dang cute, the metaphor about the gloves, the excepting each others quirkiness, the deep understanding of each others smiles and mannerism, AHHHHH
Also I can’t beleive the Narrator!!! I won’t say more because of a major Cosmere Spoiler but DAMN, if you know you know.

Disclaimer, I have yet to read Tress, so take this with a grain of salt… it’s just what I’ve heard from Brandons socials

Hi Cole! Brandon Sanderson himself has also directly compared Tress to the Princess Bride, so along with everything Marwan said, I’d check that book out as well if she hasn’t already read it!

Someone on The 17th Shard Forum asked me this question and I thought it was a good one! There are so many amazing moments throughout the four books, but I have to say the ending of WoR with Szeth and Kaladin fighting in the storm is one of my favourites. Also, any scene with Wit telling stories with whatever crazy magic he has (wont say more in fear of spoilers) has been absolutely jaw dropping and left me speechless.

Like you guys said, Brandon writes soooo much so it definitely tides you over while you are waiting for the next books.
I’m not sure if anyone is familiar with Robert Jordan and his Wheel of Time series, but I’m really hoping Brandon doesn’t pull a similar move and pass away before completing Stormlight Archive 🙏 especially since I’ve heard there is supposed to be a longer break between the 5th and 6th books, so who knows when we’ll get a completed series.

The Prelude of Way of Kings can be a bit overwhelming since it kinda just launches you into the world without much explaining. But you definitely learn more as you go.
If you don’t know already there’s a source online called the Coppermind which is like a Brandon Sanderson Wiki site that can answer basically any question you have if one of us can’t help you!

I'd read Elantris before Arcanum Unbounded because ..."
That’s a really good point! I totally forgot that Arcanum Unbounded has Stories from Sel! (Definitely shows I’m due for a reread)
Thanks for these recs!

Feel free to post topics about anything related to this series! Ask questions, pose theories, discuss favourite characters, etc. Remember to announce any spoilers you might be discussing!

Since I just began rereading all of the Cosmere, Personally I would recommend the following reading order:
Mistborn Era 1 (#1-3)
War Breaker
Way of Kings
Words of Radiance
Arcanum Unbounded
War Breaker
Oathbringer
Dawnshard
Rhythm of War
Mistborn Era 2
I have yet to read any of the secret projects and the Graphic Novel “White Sand”, so I cant recommend a reading order for those…. Let me know what your thoughts are/where you might put the secret projects!

My first introduction to the Cosmere came from the Way of Kings and the Stormlight Archive remains my favourite series in the Cosmere! I specifically love the characters and witnessing their growth and depth throughout the series. My favourite is definitely Kaladin.
