He chuckled. This whole situation was funny. He took the oreo ice cream tub and tossed it into his cart too. "Didn't you know ice cream is the second best medicine for loneliness?" He smiled at her. "I'm almost finished with this. Would you like to have some ice cream with me outside?"
Noah wasn't sure of what to say at her comment, so he stuck with the most honest reply. "You're not." He said simply, choosing the vainilla with rasperry ice cream so she could have the oreo one. "There, it's yours. I'm Noah."
"No, not at all. I was just... nevermind." He didn't want her to think he was waiting for her to move. Noah tapped his chin. "Huh, I don't know. That's a hard one. Probably raspberry." He smiled at her. "It's fine. You can take the oreo if you want. No problem."
(Don't worry, I don't mind.)He stopped in front of the ice cream section, noticing a girl was already there, apparently trying to decide which to get. He stood by, scanning the flavors too. He picked a different one every week. It was a funny sight. Both of them were there staring at the ice creams. He cleared his throat. "What about I take the oreo and you pistachio. Or the other way around. It's okay." He smiled at her.
Noah pushed his cart down the aisles of the grocery store, a little annoyed at the sound the little wheels were making. Seriously? The squeaking was driving him crazy! Finally, he found what he was looking for, reaching for the honey buns his younger brother had reminded him a thousand times to not to forget to buy. He tossed them into the cart and scratched that out of his list. "Now, ice cream..." He mused. That one was for him. He'd always hide it behind other stuff in the fridge so that his brothers wouldn't devour it before he did.

The piece of clothing that is rarely missing is a vest. Really, the guy could forget his underwear but never his vest.
Personality: Noah is mostly a quiet guy. He grieves sometimes. That's when sorrow hits him so hard that it even gets hard to breath. He'll keep it to himself and just will want to be left alone. He does enjoy company when he's happy. Just drumming on his guitar lifts his mood. He can't bring to touch his violin, not yet, at least. He can barely stand seeing it. He is kind to people and willing to offer his help whatever the task may be. He's up for challenges.
Crush? How do they feel about their clock? Last time he peeked, it said there was a month left. He's not seen his clock ever since and even though he thought he didn't believe in that, he now finds himself anxiously waiting for the seconds to tick by faster.
History: Noah's mom died when he was ten when she was mugged but accidentally ended up being shot. After that, his family wasn't the same. Violet got married, since she'd found her soul mate, and moved away, leaving the guys to fend for themselves. When his mother died, Noah refused to continue going to school. He just wouldn't. His dad was wise enough to let him drop out with the condition of being homeschooled, so he accepted. They're quite a close knit family now. Violet comes for holidays and cooks for them so everything is great. Almost. Because the violin his mother gave Noah still lays in a corner untouched, as if it was waiting for his mother to ask for him to play one more time.

"Woot woot!" Jen pushed the texbook towards him and got a pencil from her backpack. "Here, this one. Any idea of how to solve this?" She asked pointing at the problem with her pencil. She really needed help with that homework, but it was also a convenient replacement of their last topic. Which was...? Now she couldn't remember.
"Absolutely." She fidgeted with her hands. Why did she had to be such a bad liar when it mattered? "I get distracted easily, and tend to forget stuff, but I'm alright. Promise." She pointed at her textbook. "Hey, are you any good at math?"
She snapped her fingers. "Oh yeah, right. Sorry." She waved her hand dismissively. "I'm perfect." She smiled but anyone could tell something was off. "Nice weather, isn't it? It's sunny but not as sunny as yesterday. Yesterday was better than the last week, though."
"Yay!" Her face lit up. "Awesome, thanks... uh..." Jen finished her pizza and wiped her lips with a napkin. "Hmmm, What did you say your name was?" Her eyebrows were pulled together in confusion. What had they been talking about anyways? Oh she hated when this happened.
Jen thought about that. Her parents were always asking her how long was left, but she refused to unwrap the piece of fabric around her clock. "That's an interesting point of view." She narrowed her eyes as if she was concentrating on something. "Hmmm You don't mind if we're friends, right?" People normally didn't ask that but she didn't want to come up to talk to him one day for him to act as if he didn't know her.
"True." She conceded. Her brother had learned now to always show up with flowers. In that moment, her gaze shifted to her clock. "Hmmm... do you think she is the one? Aren't you curious about knowing?" She sometimes wondered about it, but always chickened up when she was about to peek.
"Nope. Just me and my wonderful self." Jen knew who Bridget was, though they hadn't ever spoken. "Don't forget to give her some flowers. The more, the better. My brother once gave his girl a chewing gum and she sent him packing."
Jen clasped her hands together. "Aw, that's amazing! Who are you going with?" She didn't mind asking that because it was something that was public anyway. "Who knows? Maybe I'll vote for you two." She was quite excited about homecoming, considering she didn't have a date. Just a tiny detail that wouldn't spoil her night.
"Yes, I'm going." Her smile widened. Yes, she thought all the fuss was crazy, but hey, it'd be boring if it wasn't. "It's just that sometimes we worry about all this stuff that really means nothing." She shook her head. "Happens to everyone, even me. That's why I think it's crazy." She leaned back. "Are you going?"
"Uh huh." Jen sighed. "I wish I could study somewhere else, but it isn't possible." His story intrigued her. She wondered what was the conflict with his parents, but no way she'd ask. A group of giggling girls walked by, talking about dresses and dates. "Crazy thing homecoming." She smiled.
"Are you going to college?" She asked carefully. It was a hard thing to thread between interest and nosiness. She turned the page of the textbook with a thoughtful expression. "I think this year will be fun. I just feel it."
Jen smiled back, easing into a more confortable atmosphere. "Yep, quite a while." She pulled a textbook from her backpack and flipped it open. "I don't know if I should feel depressed or ecstatic that this year will be the last."
"Oh, chicken. Nice." She finished eating her pizza and looked around. Obviously, she hadn't thought through about her offer to share the table. She wasn't going to lie. It was getting awkward. The silence stretched for what seemed like ages, but she knew it had to be just one or two minutes. Jen suddenly giggled. "I'm sorry, I'm not good at meeting people."
