He nodded and had a seat on the couch. "It must be lonely." He didn't meant to be so bold, but he couldn't help it. Noah hoped he hadn't offended her, and looked away from her. "Hmmm... Maybe you should put your ice cream in the fridge, so it doesn't melt."

He hesitantly stepped into the house. It was dark so he flipped on the lights. "Nice place." He complimented. It was cleaner than his house. But then, his house were all lazy boys, so... yeah. "Don't you get any help with the chores here?"

Noah rolled his eyes and leaned in, as first looking as if he would kiss her, but instead, pecked her cheek. "I know, but I have some time to spare, and I do want to spend some more minutes with you." He smiled at her apologetically. "I'm sorry we couldn't stay longer at the rink." They were standing just in front of her front door. A thought hit him: She didn't have a dad that would yank the door open and tell her to say goodbye.

He nodded absentmindly, smiling secretly. "Not telling you why." He stuck his tongue out at her and went to open the door for her. He paused at her question, looking over at her house, spending a few seconds thinking about his answer, but then her face convinced him. "Um... I guess I can for a moment. C'mon." Noah gently nudged her out.

Noah followed her directions, lost in his thoughts. "What's your favorite color?" He suddenly asked. "And do you like cupcakes?" He pulled up in front of her house, looking at it through the window. It saddened him that she had to live on her own, with no one really there to look after her. She was not a kid, but she wasn't an adult yet either.

He threw her an interrogative glance, wondering why she didn't pick up her phone, but decided not to ask. "Right." He smiled, starting the car. "Okay, I'll do it again: Where do you live?" Noah asked, eyes on the road. That was one very important thing about him. He drove like a granny, respecting all the red lights and stop signs and never speeding up above the speed limit.

Noah nodded in agreement, holding the door open for her to walk out first, and then the passenger door of his car. He laughed a little when they were both in. "I feel kinda creepy asking you this, but, where do you live? So I can drop you off." He looked slightly embarrassed. This flirting and hanging out thing was coming not so easily as it used to for him. He was rusty.

Noah just laughed at her question. "I'll tell you something. Always leave some fun for later or you'll end up using it all up." He patted the top of her head and went to return his skates. He put his normal shoes back on. Normal old, dirty sneakers. At least those weren't the worst. "Let's go, little skater."

"Honestly, I have no idea. We'll improvise." Noah checked his watch. It was getting late and he didn't need his brothers beginning to ask where had he been. "Come on, I should drop you home before it gets later." He pulled on her hand gently to take her to the edge of the rink. He was already thinking about what he'd do the following day. The improvised part was just for her to think he had thought of it quick.

He shook his head quickly. Never in a thousand years would he think that. "No, no, not at all. I mean, I don't mind at all. Picking you up." He realized he sounded too eager. "Ummm... It's fine. No problem." He said more slowly, his ears turning red. Damn, seriously? He swung their hands as they skated to distract himself and make the red go away.

Noah tilted his head to a side thoughtfully. "I don't mind picking you up, but we could meet somewhere if that's what you want. I have no problem with either." His car would be repaired by tomorrow and he'd finally be able to get rid of his brother's one. His Belle couldn't be replaced. "What do you say?"

"We could... We could hang out tomorrow too." He shrugged. He had no idea where they could go yet, but something had to occur to him. His family wouldn't mind him being away, anyway. One less brother who to look after. "Only, if you want, of course." He stopped spinning and just began skating with her around the whole rink.

"You're welcome." Noah smiled at her and seeing the coast was clear, he leaned in as if he was going to tell her a secret. "Time to spin around!" He whooped like a little kid and took one of her hands in his, in a dance position. "Hey, what are you doing tomorrow?" He asked her, not knowing if he'd get to see her the following day since she had school and he'd be out in the streets working.

He quickly reached over to steady her, wrapping his arms around her. He knew first hand that when someone loses their balance on the ice, if you grab their hand, you'll probably get dragged down and make everything worse. "It's okay. You're doing pretty good for a beginner." He smiled at her, not wanting her to think she had done something wrong. He'd enjoyed teaching her. The last time he taught someone was one of his sister's friends. And the girl shrieked all the time. Shudder.

Noah smiled brightly, proud she'd gotten it right now. "Yep, you've got it. I'm going to let go of your hand, but just continue doing what you're doing." He loosened his hold on her hand a little. "I'll still be skating right next to you." He let go of her hand but stayed close. He felt the loss of her warmth and the urge to hold her hand again.

"Look at my feet. See how I'm moving them? Just copy the steps and everything will be alright." He laughed again, but didn't take her other hand. First, she had to learn how to skate on her own. For now, he was pulling her along so she could focus on her feet. "It's fun once you get the gist of it. I promise."

He became aware of the closeness and put some distance between them again. No need to have her think he was some creepy guy that hugged girls he'd just met. He smiled at the compliment, though. "Thanks, and you will too." He let go of her slowly and then just took her hand, skating next to her to let her learn. "I'm right here, and if you fall, I'll catch you, so don't worry."

Noah was just smiling at her until she warned him of someone behind him. In one motion, he pulled her close and and spun to the right to avoid a collision. "Whoa, that was close. Thanks for the heads up." Thanks god he hadn't forgotten how to spin or it would've been embarrasing.

"My mom." He slid across the ice with her hands still in his, not making her skate just yet, just dragging her with him so she can get used to it. "You okay so far?" He asked and smiled at her. "Don't forget you're the one who has to tell me if I'm about to tackle someone." He reminded her, but didn't look nervous at all. There weren't a lot of people there today so there weren't many chances of crashing into anybody.

Noah guided her to the ice, showing her instead of simply telling her. "I just hope for the best." Really, he had no idea. It was the same with learning to walk with normal shoes, he thought. They made it to the ice and he smiled at her, patting her head with his free hand. "See? Not that hard."
