Half of the room is decorated with posters, and Jack's guitar and amp are leaning against one wall.
Sometime soon, I hope Jack will get a girlfriend or two+ (he's poly) who will help him open up

He makes eye contact with her, silently thinking how pretty her hair is, before his eyes flit away.
He shyly looks around the room, realizing it's just him and the other girl.
(Either way, he'd probably be wearing his jacket over it in the common room)
He fidgets with his denim jacket a little, adjusting some of the patches.
He starts to finger out chords on the arm of the chair as he listens to his music, only just now noticing Brooklyn in the room.
His hand nervously taps on the arm of the couch, his body language betraying his image, starting to show a bit of the loneliness and shyness he feels.
