I thought the book had a lot of potential too.... but just could make myself read it - Congrats on finishing Chris!
I didn't get any books for the holiday - but that is okay because I have my trusty Library Card :)I finished Dorothy Must Die and Grey this past week - and I am currently reading The White Rose and The Wicked Will Rise
I'm finishing up Dorothy Must Die - I started an audio book back in July that I had to return to the library and never finished - it was on the overdrive app so I checked it out again there are 4 parts left - which equals about 10 chapters I hope - I'm still on The White Rose and started Sleeping Beauty Vampire Slayer again - which picked up because it's a choose your own adventure book :) - I have Perfect (Pretty little liars #3) in the line up and several others I'm thinking I will have a great ending to my reading year as I have surpassed my old record of 109 and I'm not at 112- woo hoo go me - and go everyone else whether you have completed the challenge or are still working on it - you can do it!
Jennifer wrote: -if I'm lucky I will finish the three I'm currently working on and maybe one or two more"Well I finished one - Fifty Shades Freed - only 4 chapters left of flawless - still working on Dorothy Must Die - started and finished Regretsy: Where DIY meets WTF - and started the white rose - I think this has shaped up to be an eventful reading year!
I did all that this weekend and walked/ran a 5K with my daughter :)
I am currently listening to Flawless - the second book of the Pretty Little Liars series, still reading Dorothy Must Die, and Fifty Shades Freed My goal for the year was 75 and I just finished book 109 yesterday - if I'm lucky I will finish the three I'm currently working on and maybe one or two more
Happy Reading
I wasn't a big fan of reading when I was a child - My favorite books were Go, Dog. Go! and Are You My Mother? - this is one of the major reasons I can't be too angry at my child for not wanting to read. In fifth grade I read Bridge to Terabithia and The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle and loved them... but that is the extent of my childhood memories until 7th grade when I picked up Flowers in the Attic.
Oh my gosh - how could I ever forget Wait Till Helen Comes
I haven't been reading too much the last week... I burned out for a while - and most of my books recently have been EH?! - right now I'm reading Dorothy Must Die, Sleeping Beauty Vampire Slayer, and I'm listening to Once We Were.
Chris wrote: "I'm almost half way through it, and I'm still trying to discover what the point of all the tales is. I'm hoping as I keep reading there will be some kind of payoff that brings the little details together for a deeper point. So far the book hasn't gripped me yet."Please let me know if it does bring those details together - I tried reading this one before and couldn't get hooked at all - even though the story sounds like it should be amazing - if it brings it together and turns out well I may try it again... but for now good luck!
I like the title Monkeys, Myths, and Molecules - I may have to try that one.
I'm still ready the Hershey biography - and it's still an interesting read... and What's Left of Me
I like to mix hot chocolate with pumpkin spice latte it is a 3/4 to 1/4 mix as I don't particularly care for coffee.I am currently reading

You will be missed :( I have finished two books this week and I'm in the middle of three others... maybe I'll finish a couple more by the end of October... Guess we'll see.Finished
Currently Reading
My favorite children's Ghost story is Wait Till Helen Comes... I read it when I was in the 4th grade and still think it is a good book for children and adults
Wow - I missed this one. I finished my goal of 52 back in May and my personal goal of 75 in August. I just finished book number 92 this morning... so whatever I end with I will have done better than last year where I just barely made the 52.
I just finished the last book in the Stage Dive series ... I loved the entire series :) they are not literary masterpieces but they gave me the warm fuzzies :)
The Library has the first 3 but I had to buy the last for my nook - I just couldn't wait to find out what happened.
Currently I'm listening to The Red Queen and reading One More Chance, Allegiant, Every Last Breath, and Guilty Pleasure -
Bridge to Terabithia was a teacher recommendation and has stayed with me since I read it way back when - in 5th grade - it was the first book I enjoyed reading and I think because of it you will never see me without a book. Before this book I hated to read - my daughter is the same way now - so I have gotten in the habit of picking up random books that I think she may like in the hopes that she finds her own Bridge to Terabithia!
I am currently reading
and
and
hopefully I will finish the last two soon - I've been on them it seems forever -
I'm an rereading the Divergent series - I just watched Insurgent and didn't recognize the story line at all - so I started the series again - this will be like the 3rd time reading it. I'm also reading the 3rd and hopefully the final story of Project Paper Dolls and A list of things that didn't kill me :)
V.C. Andrews just released a new one at the end of May
Secret Brother
which is the third in the Diary series that begins with
Christopher's Diary: Secrets of Foxworth
and continues with
Christopher's Diary: Echoes of Dollanganger
I have read the first but I wasn't too impressed - I'm hoping the next two are better because the Dollanganger Series is my favorite from the Andrews franchise :)
Let's see... I started quite a few this weekend - but everything is on hold right now because I'm reading Neil Patrick Harris Choose Your Own Autobiography. I'm super excited for this one because "HELLO, CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE!". I have skipped around a little so far and I'm enjoying it.
I'm also reading
Christopher's Diary: Secrets of Foxworth
Sisters' Fate and
Going Bovine
I've almost completed the 52 book challenge - I'm on book number 46 even though my Read-in-2015 says 47 - I finished a book on Jan 1 and counted in December for last years challenge because I read most of the book in 2014 - My overall goal for this year is 75 and I am excited to almost be there... good luck to everyone else who is working to complete the 52 book pick up challenge
I just finished Storm and started Spark last night... I'm still in the middle of The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity and the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary
Storm and Spark are YA about 4 supernatural/paranormal boys who control one of the five elements earth, air, fire, water, or spirit. So far it's enjoyable - The Professor and the Madman is interesting and I have liked it enough to continue reading.
