I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked for your favorite book(s) but, nonetheless, interesting choice!

Alright, I'm almost halfway through Death and I must admit I did enjoy the previous books better... this one is way too long and, also, unnecessarily so.

I feel like the author wanted to depict our female character as a sad angry girl but she makes the same mistakes over and over again: there's not a real progression in the plot until 40% in the book (and, again, this is a 500+ pages book).

I'm not sure, I'm enjoying it obviously because I care about the characters and the universe she created... but some passages were redundant.

Honestly, I've already found some good titles I want to read as soon as possible, in particular .
I've always loved the good girl (or boy)/bad girl (or boy) relationships and Kitten seems to fit this trope perfectly!

Re-reading teenage books is mind-blowing, at times. An experiment everyone should try.
I'm glad you are still enjoying your favorite teenage series.


Well, I have to admit: I started the four horsemen series as a joke but the first two books (Pestilence and War) were great. Engaging, well structured (plot-wise) and the writing was spot on, fluid.

I did not read the third one, Famine, because I wasn't fond of the female protagonist but I'm loving Death so far. I'm particularly intrigued by the dynamic between the two main characters.

The title of this discussion is self explanatory: what are you reading currently?


I'll go first: I started my GOODREADS reading challenge 2022 late, this year.
My first book was Averno, poetry.

Two days ago, I started the last chapter of "The four horseman series" Death by Laura Thalassa, which I'm loving so far. It's a big and chunky tome but I'll get through it!

This is the dedicated space where authors can self promote their works, novels and personal profiles.

So, I'll go first!

My name is Elly, 26 years old, from Milan (Italy). Love reading romances, fantasy, classics novels but, honestly, I don't have a go-to genre.

Favorite novels of all time:

1. Anna Karenina,
2. The Secret History,
3. Wuthering Heights,
4. The Song of Achilles,
... and of course, the Harry Potter Saga.

In a perfect world, it wouldn't be necessary to list rules of behavior ... but, since we do not live in a utopically flawless universe, here they are:

1. Always be respectful of other people's opinion. Discussions are always accepted as long as those are constructive and non-destructive;

2. Always use quiet tones in the Discussions section;

3. The moderator has the right to delete harmful, disrespectful comments. No discrimination of any kind is allowed;

4. Spoilers are welcomed in discussions where free dialogue on a book (completed in a challenge etc) is openly stated. If you are not interested in following the said discussion, silenced it.
Alternatively, I invite you to use the HTML spoiler function. This will make reading enjoyable for everyone;

5. The moderator can take definitive measures (exclusion from the group) against people who repeatedly engage in inappropriate behavior;

6. Self-promotion is accepted in this group. I invite the authors/writers to use the dedicated section.
