I would have liked more minor character depth and background. And I wanted Charity to show her anger. She might have been naive, but Harney certainly wouldn't have been. Even if it was how society functioned at the time, she was already 'compromised' and I wanted her to abandon the prim and proper for just a minute and put some of the fault on Harney's back.

So I did read this when I was suppose to, but I read everything I was assigned. I just used this as an excuse to reread before Go Set A Watchman comes out.
