I grew up in a small town and life there just has a different feel. Read a book set in a small town. Maybe a romance where a big city girl moves to a small town. Or a mystery where everyone is hiding a secret. Or a dystopian fiction about the few survivors of an apocalyptic event. The options are endless.
Enjoy something that's a quick read - either because it's short or it's so good you read it really fast.
Read the life story of someone you admire written in their own words. Hopefully you still admire them after reading their memoir.
Pick a historical event and read about it. Whether fiction or nonfiction, find out more about that particular period of time.
Sometimes authors prefer to hide their identity and write under a different name. Read a book written under a pseudonym.
You know the kind of book I mean. It's super popular and you've been meaning to read it, but just haven't gotten to it yet. Well, now's the time.
Select a nonfiction book that inspires you. Try a memoir with an inspiring true story. Or maybe a book that will inspire you to learn a new hobby or improve yourself. The possibilities are endless.
Time to spread your wings and read something that you wouldn't typically read. Maybe try poetry, a graphic novel, the latest science fiction or self-help book.
I know new releases are always so tempting. But take a moment and read a book that you already own but haven't gotten around to reading yet.
Basically every writer also loves to read just like you. Meaning they often write about books. Read a book that is about books, bookstores, or librarians.
Time to see what the hype is all about. Join the conversation and read a book that everyone else is talking about lately.
